Even Though Ivory Coast has been eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations, Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou will not be available for this clash. Chelsea aims to return to theTop of Premiership with a win over high-flying Birmingham but it will not be an easy task, as Alex McLeish's side have been unbeaten since October.Ancelotti has some concerns over Frank Lampard and Juliano Belletti, who both picked up knocks in the Preston game, while Ashley Cole, Jose Bosingwa, Michael Essien and John Obi Mikel are all unavailable.

Birmingham are reaching new heights every week and the way they are heading, they may clinch European qualification come end of the season. The Blues continued the impressive Premier League run with 1:1 draw against United, while they also made it to the fifth round of the FA Cup having eliminated Nottingham Forest and Everton. The players’ confidence is sky high at the moment and that is definitely one of the reasons why they are so hard to beat.Chelsea will have their work cut out for them against Alex McLeish’s side, having held chelsea to a goalless draw earlier in the season. With no fresh injuries to report, Alex McLeish is set to field the same starting line-up in the tenth consecutive Premiership game, which has to be a record of some kind. This means new signing Michel will again start on the bench, while Lee Carsley, David Murphy, Teemu Tainio, Gary O’Connor and Stuart Parnaby are still on injury list.

Home advantage should favour us.
Nothing less than a win is required.

I am chelsea fan but you guys have started sounding like the gunners. No team in the EPL is a walkover. Birmingham is a tough one but I just hope Chelsea wins.

i'm very wary of these Birmingham team.
so compact, almost unable to beat . . .''almost''
i just hope we'll have the edge.

a lone goal victory will do for me.

These guys are the most difficult team to beat now in the premiership. All you saying Chelsea walkover obviously don't watch the premiership.
I really do hope we take all three points.
