Awo was like Zik because they were unstable in their belief

Awo called Nigeria a mere geographical expression and went ahead to defend Nigeria

Zik shouted One Nigeria and yet cheated Eyo Ita

Both were useless people who have no pride and honor

You Igbos are so fvcking dumb and stupid. If you call Zik 'unstable', what about Ojukwu your revered idol who started a war that ended up needlessly snuffing the life out of millions of his own kinsmen only for him to abandon the cause and leave them at the mercy of the Nigerian army? On top of that, the coward later returned to Nigeria and joined an Hausa-Fulani party, contested under the same party and was shamed and disgraced by his own people. Is it such a coward you are regarding as stable?? Ojukwu didn't even win the five SE states when he contested the presidency under Apga. Stable indeed.

Zik was a Pan-Africanist with a very unrealistic goal of an African State. He was also an advocate of One Nigeria. Still he was only human and every human makes mistakes. This generation shall complete what Ojukwu started and correct this one Nigeria mistake.

This thug called nnamdi kanu is a bastard for insulting the first president of Nigeria- great Zik of Africa. He should be very careful because his madness may not be tolerated much longer than he think.

Chino, the guy has already told you that he will force and de-franchise you Anambrarians in the next governorship election.

With the way some posters are justifying what he said, I'm very sure if Nnamdi Kanu tells them they are bastards and their parents Orang Utans, they'd tell us how so right he is.

This is a classic definition of a Zombie.

Nnamdi Kanu can NEVER BE WRONG. grin
. This is really why we can not create artificial uniformities in anything. Diverse culture, norms, values, ideas etc. The hate statements among tribes in the mass media is really spurring up the break down of the Giant Of Africa.

GBAM, while Awolowo was gathering future for his Yoruba region, Zik was doing nothing for SE but shouting one Nigeria.

Shut up how did he trade his people? FYI: Zik was a nationalist and not a regional champion. Zik played on the international stage, you don't have to expect such celebral figure to come down and play village politics. You don't expect him to throw away all he risked his life fighting for- Nigeria's independence from the colonial masters.

[s][/s]
so the great Ojukwu of Nnewi was playing village politics?
So where did Zik's international politics take him?

SoNature:

Zik lived in cloud cuckoo land, trying to be a nationalist - something that was a clear mirage.

The Nigerian state doesn't encourage nationalism so you shouldn't expect the Igbos to jubilate on hearing the mention of Zik, a supposed nationalist.

Awolowo was a parochial leader and as a consequence, he was (and till date, still) celebrated by the Yorubas. Tafawa Belewa was to the north what Awolowo was to the west.

Instead of Zik copying from these people, he was busy trying to be a nationalist.

No tribe has ever been
fooled with the "One Nigeria" concept like the Igbos...yes, Rochas will be its next causality.

Nnamdi Kanu didn't insult Zik...he merely shared the view of an average Igbo man about Zik. Late Ojukwu, a sectional leader, was worshipped and respected more in the east.

You just insulted Chief Obafemi Awolowo
So Awolowo was parochial by establishing free education in South West?
First TV station in Africa?

Awolowo saw the future of the world and he Prepared for it within his capacity

Just look at how they've started insulting their most revered leader ever simply because this useless conman did. These people are the worst zombies I've ever seen in my life. Brainwashed to a point not a single living cell is left in their heads. cheesy

Please leave them be. Zik deserved whatever insults heaped on him by his people. He wasn't a leader worth celebrating.
1. He presurised the north to accept the amalgamation against their wish and that of other southerners.
2. He and his party, NCNC went against other southern leaders to disallow the inclusion of secession in the independent constitution.
3. When there was an election stalemate, he had the golden opportunity to invite the AG to form the government with his party but chose to invite the NPC against the expectations of patriotic people and lovers of nigeria.
4. The same scenario repeated itself in the 2nd republic. The UPN was the senior partner in a prospective coalision with his NPP yet Awo offered to let him be the president while he, the senior partner, would be the finance minister in deference to Zik's seniority in age, yet again, he went for the NPN. That was the issue that led to him describing himself as " the beautiful bride of nigeria's politics", a euphemism for a political LovePeddler or harlot.
5. During the war, he started with biafra and ran back to nigeria when he sensed the direction of events. The mirage of his being termed "Zik of Africa" failed to impart positively for biafra in Africa.
Zik took all the aforemenrioned actions and more not in the interest of his people or nigeria but for his unbridled, vaulting ambition.
It is on record that before Chief Michael Okpara died, he publicly acknowledged that he would forever regret that he was one of those who refused to let Zik worked with Awolowo to lift the south in particular and nigeria in general.
While Awolowo was busy developing his region and people, Zik was busy hobnobbing with his masters upnorth for filthy lucre living his region and people in depravity.
Nnamdi Kanu made a valid reference to make his point- record of achievement. While he recorded one to the credit of a northern president who was in power for about 5 years, he saw nothing to the record of the so-called leader of his people for his influence in power spanning decades.
Please NK be.

Don't misunderstand me. Zik and Ojukwu are the 2 greatest leaders we have ever produced in Igbo land. I will not sit and watch the I.diot call Kanu insult anyone of them.

Zik was a Pan-Africanist while Ojukwu was a grass root Igbo leader worldwide. Both men are the greatest the Igbo race has ever produced, so I would never cast aspersion on any one of them.

Did Igbo contribute their own quota to his votes? He had only 3 votes in Bayelsa state. A state Nnamdiot Kanu called a Biafra state.
Do you know he also lost a senatorial election in his constituency?
Ojukwu would have also lost a chancellorship election in Igbo land.
