Design and Display

It is obvious that Gionee aimed to create a durable device with this one. The Gionee A1 sports an elegant chassis made of aviation-grade metal. The main highlight of the Gionee A1 is in the camera department. It comes with a robust 16-megapixel selfie shooter with an f/2.0 lens. This features selfie flash which ensures you get quality shots at any time, even at night.

On the rear, the Gionee A1 features a 13-megapixel Sony IMX 258 snapper with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. This camera looks like one to deliver spectacular regular images.

Hardware and Software

With an octa-core MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor under the hood, you can expect powerful performance from the Gionee A1. The 64-bit CPU, having a maximum speed of 2.0 GHz, comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage.

You can expand storage by up to 256 GB. Gionee A1 boots Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. This is overlaid with Gionee’s Amigo 4.0 skin, which allows you to customise the phone to your liking.

Other Specs and Features

With a 4010mAh battery in charge of power supply, the Gionee A1 looks like a marathon device. Battery life is estimated at up to two days on a charge. Its fast charging technology also lets you top up the juicer very quickly.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB with OTG support, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and 4G LTE. The Gionee A1 supports dual SIM feature (one hybrid slot) and Voice over LTE (VoLTE). It supports LTE on MTN, Etisalat, and NTel in Nigeria.
