1. By Avr's, do you mean stabilizer?

Because the main source from NEPA is connected to 5000VA Century stabilizer I bought last year.

2. By spd's do you mean Surge Protecting Device?

All outlet except electric stove are connected with D-Marc TV Guide

Please answer yes or no according to the two questions above

1 - yes. I assume the 5000w is powering the whole house.

2 - no. The tv guides are basically a kind of avr. Since you don't have solar. You can buy ac SPD

Best you go for an inv erter with editable charge voltage settings,
Luminous doesnt have that setting, so a deal breaker for me.

If its normal sealed leadacid you intend to use..you cud be fine, but if its flooded battery...then its important you get an inverter with the functionality i explained above

Gbam. Apart from the charge settings, lvd too.

Thanks for the enlightenment. Please do you have this data for Homaya 1.5kva?
I mean its charging voltage? I just went through the manual and found nothing.

Its in the same league as luminous, simba grin grin
i call them dumb inverters, they dont write anything, nor have editable charge voltage setting...it was a digital multimeter i used to measure that of luminous

Most china/indian inverter below 2kva are usually budget systems, designed for 1 or 2 batteries, for the budget user..expected to give him 2 or 3 urs service. If you have solar...you can set ur cc properly..it will help counteract the ill effects from the inverter.

Luminous still carried on with such poor designs in their 4kva 48v inverter models

most luminous inverter are designed by luminous intheir wisdom..to output max 14.4 volts and dont hv desulphation setting. flooded batteries are happiest charging at 14.8 v olts and desulphating at 15.5 volts for 4hrs every few months.
those inverters you listed there dont have those capabilities............

it will work o....but the battery will not be very happy...and may likely dont serve at its optimum rating

with editable battery voltage charge setting...you can set the charge voltage to what u want and also use it to desulphate even if your inverter doesnt hv a dedicated desulphation button...

other than that, luminous is a strong inverter, hv used the luminoius ion in a setup for over 10yrs, only issue was stuff cooling fanfrom dust...which was replaced. however that design flaw isnt serious if using normal smf battery,,apart from quanta/flooded battery....quanta likes to be charged at 13,8 volts

Thanks for the enlightenment, which 1.5kva inverters have the feature bolded?

Though any serious inverter would have it. Magnum and victron inverters, but they cost an arm and a leg, far above the purchasing power of the average 1.5kva inverter user grin grin grin

Tbb has voltage editable features, but you will have to go to their office for that, or buy the external console to do that

Vmpower has editable options but I will find through the manual and revert back to you soon

It is an hybrid
30A PWM controller and also transformerless

Hello guys. Please i need some enlightening. I always fancy having a solar setup and i recently bought one from a friend leaving the country.
The setup comprise:
1 200AH Hausstrom tubular battery
1.1KVA inverter Hausstrom glow energy
A 330w panel(s)
And a charge controller (don't know the rating).

I'll like to upgrade this setup and add additional 2-3 batteries and i saw a Hausstrom hybrid inverter online.
What i want to ask is if this hybrid inverter is good and has no major flaw and if a 3.2kva one is enough to serve my needs.
My major consumption will be:-
1. I want my fridge rated 130W (1.2kwh/24h) always on.
2. 145W TV average of 6hrs in a day
3. 350W PS5 average of 5hrs in a day
4. Misc accessories of say 100w for like 3hrs in a day.
If what i want is not good enough, what other alternatives should i look at?

Thanks for your input, I think I will have to stick with Luminous inverter.

1. Can I attach solar panel to non hybrid Inverter e.g. Luminous Optimus or Luminous Eco Volt ?

2. Assuming I need 900Watts panel to charge (150Ah * 2), what combination of Mono panel will be better; is it (225W * 4) or (300W * 3)?

3. Since it will be 24v system, can I use panels of 12v, or must it be 24v panels each?

Please answer accordingly, other input are also welcome

1. Can I attach solar panel to non hybrid Inverter e.g. Luminous Optimus or Luminous Eco Volt ?....not directly, you will attach the panels to a charge controller first

2. Assuming I need 900Watts panel to charge (150Ah * 2), what combination of Mono panel will be better; is it (225W * 4) or (300W * 3)?......any is ok, its the Voc of the cc that will determine .however higher wattage panels are usually more optimal

3. Since it will be 24v system, can I use panels of 12v, or must it be 24v panels each?......doesnt matter, usually 150 watts and below panels come as 12v. I prefer 24v or even 36v panels. Mppt cc is best..,if its pwm cc you are going for..then 12v panels might be better for u

Please answer accordingly, other input are also welcome

Thanks a million for your direct answers I greatly appreciate it.

I still have some questions itemized below:

1. Will 60A charge controller be suitable with this system that can charge Tubular battery?

2. Which budget (50k - Max 80k) quality MPPT CC would you recommend & Amp?

3. Do I still need battery charger since am using MPPT, if yes how many Amp?

4. With the above devices, do I still need Battery Desulphator/Desulfator Rejuvenator?

5. Which budget (50k - Max 80k) quality 300W 24v Panel would you recommend?

NB: Please I know the questions are much, but it's good I know what am going into to avoid regret!

If u're looking for 60a mppt cc. I'll recommend this type. I got it 85k last week. It readings are accurate with figure on my BMS. If u're looking at Budget 60a for 50k. u can go for powmr cc. But the max u'll get from it is 50a. Powmr cc is on jumia, konga n AliExpress.

Breakers are circuit breakers. SPDs mean surger protective devices. SPDs work with breakers.. which means u connect it very close to ur breakers. Or better still just get fast acting fuse with appropriate rating. U'll just b ready to buy multiple fuse Incase dey blow out

I'm noticing most lifepo4 batteries on aliexpress is free shipping and highly affordable if you can get the dollars at bank rate. With $450 you can get 8 cell 3.2v 280 to 310ah shipped. I mean can it all be a scam?
