I got this set from our trusty Alaba Int'l market folks. Under 10k apiece including transport logistics to Lekki.

I have sought high and low on AliExpress but could not find it. The one or two AliExpress links were out of stock and US and UK sites carry it at an outrageous price.

It is the ICA-TEC LC1D25008 - about 8ms transfer time, as fast as or faster than your average inverter. The motor/compressor based loads I have used it with have not noticed the changeover - they just chug along happily, even when I use an incandescent (resistive load) bulb, the changeover is so quick that my eyes cannot detect it, all I hear is the click/thud when the contacts engage.

I think the story is that in the early days, our Oga Earthrealm in the course of experimenting put 4 panels in series and blew his MorningStar's 150vdc open circuit voltage limit

Sadly the MorningStar could not recover from this fatal error. As we all know, one has to use the product within the manufacturer's published tolerances and they say strictly not to exceed 150vdc I do believe he has since learned from that experience and he won't do it again.

I may also be wrong on the background, I will let my Oga shed more light.

But in one scenario, the Midnite proved so stellar that it was returned to it's box to rest and be sold off in another scenario, I have a brand new MorningStar spare which I am keeping and extremely unwilling to sell just in case the rainy day comes and I need it.

But more seriously though, I wish the MorningStar folks would make an 80a or 100a version, that would be something to see.

i'm a stickler for single systems when it comes to charge controllers.
unlike some folks who mix up fangpusun, epsolar, bluesky, etc in one single setup,
i like to stick to a single product. so, after the comparison test it was a tough choice
for me to make: do i throw out my two tristars along with the meter hub and switch
over to midnite, get whiz bang and other accessories or do i mix them up and take
my chances, see how they can work together? but these controllers don't have a
common communications protocol...but it so happens that i'm already heavily
invested in morninstar so the decision naturally tilted towards keeping the tristar
ccs and selling off the midnite and that's why we're here right now.
i would have done the same thing even if it were a schneider, appollo, victron or
some other charge controller.

all your problems will be solved once bmv is connected to ccgx

after connecting the BMV

1. set the BMV is the monitor in CCGX - See image --submenu settings - system setup

2. Switch on also has DC system - submenu settings system setup

That way the CCGX used the current from battery and Multi to calculate current taken by loads. Beware though since you are using flexmax the BMV will not report all current produced during day as some of it will be consumed by multi and load.
if you want close monitoring you will have to change CC to Smart/blue solar from victron

And now other question why will a manufacturer stated max power of mppt in watts and still state max open circuit voltage it can withstand and max charge in amps. For example for above the oem state máx 600W for 75v and 25 a shouldn't it be 75 x 25=1875 watts?

Please note this is just to explain what that 75 input voltage means. If I were to use this on a 12v system, I would rather have 2 150w in series than have 3 100w panels. The cc would have less conversion to perform, which equals less heat generated.

The truth is if you have 600w, you are going to get that full wattage briefly at certain time and under certain conditions. The experts here have advised that Oversizing is ok, what I'm not sure of is 200w on top of 600w capacity. I hope one of them can help us here.

Good please I'm looking for a reliable solar charge controller to be installed in a remote location that can be hocked up to the internet for remote viewing with little or no interference all year long.

Expected pv is 5.4kw 48v system so maybe two charge controllers combined together or a CC with a hybrid inverter but all should have remote view capabilities.
