Hi I have a 2009 Honda Civic,bought it used and had an amplifier placed. The car did not come with owners manual so the installer could not test the new equipment.I have pressed the numbers 1 and 6 at the same time while the ignition was on and radio off for about 20 seconds, turned the radio back on and supposedly the numblers would display....they didn't.

How do I get the serial number or the code to be able to listen to my radio? There is no sticker on glove box or side or center console. Can anyone help? It is Sunday and deaslers are closed.

I've owned my CR-V since I bought it new in 2002. There's never been a radio code in the users manual which I still have, nor are there any code stickers in my car. Several years ago our battery died and I found the code no problem, on- line and at no cost. Now that Honda has figured out how to scam more money out of you, it's now impossible to find online. I wrote it down but have since lost the code in one of our relocations.

I have no way of contacting the original owner of my radio because it was given to me at a thrift store that was not allowed to sell electronics. Any help would be much appreciated. The radio fits perfectly in my 93 civic. I did all the wiring before realizing that it requires a code to use.

The radio serial is s40226535.

The radio came out of a 2008 crv according to GOOGLE, if that helps at all.
