@Macky I need your view on this.

Info on my program's website says that they offer assistantships on a competitive basis from admitted students, and no separate application is required.

Since I've been admitted, I want to reach out to the Grad Coordinator to indicate interest. Do you advise this, or should I patiently wait till I hear from them.

Thanks baba

Dunno who might need this but you can use this resource to search for employers in your state that have filed for employees with your desired job title: https://www.myvisajobs.com/H1B-Visa/Search.aspx

I found this thread last night and I haven't stopped till I read everything.

I'm applying for fall 2019 too and 2 of 4 schools I applied to are in Texas.

I have completed my other applications but Texas A&M university - commerce is the one giving me headache now. I applied on the apply Texas portal, but I haven't been able to upload anything.

Has anybody applied there before, can you give me a few pointers?

I'm applying for accounting BTW

@Auditmonkey. I began my application to Texas State University via the applyTexas platform. Then 48 hours after paying the application fee, I received a link from the grad college where I uploaded my docs.

So I'll suggest you reach out to the grad college and enquire, because I didn't upload any file on applyTexas web. Good luck!

After looking keenly into the h1b program, I realized a lot could go wrong with it.
Employers are distancing themselves from f1, opt and h1b. The hustle strong these days But I have almost sorted myself. wink

Got 1 fulltime offer, I need more! cool

Competitive basis from what I understand is that they will rank the people that were admitted, check their purse and offer funds to those at the top of the list based on the money they have available.

Still, harassing them, sorry worrying them can make them give you something so you'll leave them alone.
