I will try to explain to you, believing that you are talking out of ignorance. The biafra pounds was never recognised as legal tender by most countries selling arms. As a result, the biafran army had to steal every available Nigerian currency to pay for arms.

And for your information, Nigeria and biafra were using the same currency at the start of the war until awolowo adviced the FG to change its currency.

Living in denial is not good. It a fact of history well documented that Biafra soldiers led by Victor Banjo took and held Benin for a while before they were beaten back by Federal Forces. It was while they had Benin that the Branch of CBN at Benin lost its reserves. It must be borne in mind however that given the tendency to indiscipline not uncommon among soldiers everywhere it is not impossible to have had some Federal forces helping themselves to what was left after Biafra soldiers had their fill. #sierraleoneblooddiamonds

That picture can mean so many things. for all we know it may be a Biafran soldier punishing a Nigerian POW(captured Nigerian soldier). I know that war is no picnic Biafran army would have committed lots of indiscretions and some soldiers would have gone overboard, but what i find amazing is when try to get the account of the atrocities that Biafran army commited against the minorities, you find lots of inconsistencies in their testimonies. There was one write up that alleged that Biafrans massacred people in Benin in October 67, whereas Biafran left the Midwest in September 67 which clearly shows a lot of lies in their account. I feel this was designed to water down claims of massacre in igbo land by Nigerian troops
