To perform a proper SOT, you need to use a stopwatch to get accurate timing ratio.....

I don't agree sir after a full charge start using your phone normally and when it gets to like 10% check the SOT under settings .. I think it'll represent a good battery capacity test.. I.e usage while screen is on since most if this phone is designed for multi tasking

I browse all day. my infinix hot 4 pro last 8 hours if its in 3g but 2g can take a day to run down

We all have varying ways of measuring and what we want to measure, which is independent and personally dependent on the conductor ...

If I was to test for SOT, I would leave phone turned on with varying applications running in the background, armed with an external stopwatch for the duration of the test.........

NB : Do I have time to test for REAL SOT FIGURES ? No .......

Depends....if its a phone using MTK processors...say the whole day without much of gaming..and lots of browsing...MTK are known to be poor with battery performance..like tecno and the rest.....but if its snapdragon processor ...A phone of 3500 mah can go head to head with MTKphone using 5000mah

you don't need stopwatch for this your phone is intelligent enough to make the calculation on its own.. use your phone normally and it'll calculate each seconds the phone screen is on ..on its own you can check screen under battery usage .. no matter how good you are with the stopwatch it can't be accurate like how your phone will calculate it

Doesn't matter; if Samsung made a phone with mtk porcessor, it would still have better battery performance than some of these chinese phones - so long as they don't try to do that crafty thing that backfired with the note7. Thing is the major brands spend much more on Q&A and R& than a lot of the cheap Chinese companies. Note that I would include Chinese companies like Xiaomi, Huawei in the list of major brands.

If a phone vendor made a phone that wasn't properly optimised whether MTK or Snapdragon etc, the problems would still be there

Some people just dey mention heavy usage anyhow. Even with things i listed mine doing i still attributed heavy usage to gamers.

Play those heavy game wit your phone and see how it lasts, after that you'll knw to leave anything like heavy out of it.
