Atari is well known for classic video gaming. Now, the business is launching a new line of wearables, known as the Atari Connected Life line. The first of these products in the line is the Speakerhat, powered by Audiowear.

It is a baseball cap with high-quality speakers embedded in it. Not headphones – speakers, in the beak of the cap. The Speakerhat as well sports a microphone that uses Bluetooth to access your devices. Also, you can answer phone calls with the device. At present it’s unclear whether one can swap the tech into a different Speakerhat, but then the components look integrated from the pictures thus far.

Atari also promises a basically new social audio experience with Multiplayer Mode, which lets multiple users to listen to a single audio stream by means of Bluetooth.

The Speakerhat is a publicity linkup piece for upcoming sci-fi movie Blade Runner 2049. This can be labeled by some people as a funny marketing stunt, agreed that Atari was one of the corporations referenced in the original Blade Runner series. The hat is a teamwork between Atari, Audioware and NECA.Atari Speakerhat
