BREAKING: UNIMAID, NNPC Staff and CJTF Ambushed by Boko Haram

YERWA EXPRESS NEWS, JULY 25, 2017

In the late hours of Tuesday, July 25, suspected members of Boko Haram Terroristsambushed a team of oil 'explorers', killing some of them, while others are reported missing, sources told our correspondent.

The incident occurred at a village between Gubio and Magumeri, Jibi.'The team includes staff of University of Maiduguri, Nigerian National Petroleum Commission, NNPC and security operatives', asource said.

According to the same source, some of the victims were taken away by the terrorists, while others are killed.'Of about ten vehicles in the convoy that went, only one returned so far', a source told YERWAEXPRESS NEWS on a phone conversation.

The exact casualty figure is yet to be ascertained as there's no any official statement from any of the security outfits as at the time of filing this report.
