Do We Pay A Price For The Anointing?

Paying For The Anointing?
There is a popular teaching in the church that we pay a price for the anointing.
This teaching normally goes something like, “The anointing gives you power to get results. But this power comes with a cost! How badly do you want it? Are you willing to pay the price to walk in the anointing? If so, then you must be prepared to sacrifice. The greater your trials, the greater the anointing.”
Normally, the hearer is instructed to perform various religious works to pay the price for the anointing (e.g., praying more, fasting more, suffering more, meditating more, giving more donations, going into isolation or seclusion, being mentored as a “spiritual son” or “spiritual daughter,” etc).
This sends the Believer on an endless journey of religious works — because there is always a “greater anointing” to seek after and pay for.
The pursuit for a “greater anointing” is like a carrot-on-a-stick dangling in front of them, luring them on and on to seek more spiritual power from God.
Let’s address this teaching once and for all. . . .

The main question should be why do you want to serve GOD? What brought you to GOD?

This is interesting,i have had a little concern about the said topic over time,......I believe the anointing comes with a cost, but the Almighty God will be the one to propel whom He wants to use to pay the price and not just anyone desiring to be anointed and as a result following some rules or undergoing spiritual exercises(wrong motives). But just as someone had said,we should serve God and love Him truthfully and unconditionally, not because of positions or to be labelled ''an anointed man or woman of God'',this is grasping for the wind.

They might have reeled out to you a long list of spiritual exercises they engaged in prior obtaining the anointing and this may appear achievable, but the pure motive behind it is not achievable, only comes from God.
