Sorry to disappoint you but my dog eats grass at times too, i've caught it in the act quite a few times.. His favorite is tea grass I think they do that for the medicinal effects or to clean their teeth.

Dogs eat grass, nothing new. My dog eat grass when he has stomach upset or wants to throw up something wrong in its stomach. Even carnivores like Lions and Tigers occasionally eat grass to help throw out undigested particles like fur and bones in their stomach.

My dog also chews a particular type of grass but he won't swallow it, he will vomit it back after chewing

Check a dog teeth, the fangs don't disturb the dog from eating grass.

I've seen Dogs eat grass swallow it and vomits it later.
I still can't figure out why they do that.

I read it sometime ago that in the wild a particular type of grass contains some deworming agents in them and fights worms in the body once digested. I read that and I'm in no way confirming it as it might just be an asumption of the writer without no scientific proof

Dogs do eat some grasses to treat some stomach upset or to vomit poisonous substances they ingested. Sometime ago while on a call, I observed a mongrel quickly rushed to eat grass. Immediately after eating the grass he vomited and calmed down after the vomit. It is not abnormal, it is wired in them to eat certain grass for medicinal purposes which they inherited from their forebears in the wild..

I planted tea grass in my house cause of my dogs... They eat the grass well

My dog do eat elephant grass and bitter leaf ..... Caught her in the act so many times

Dog eats grass.
It is Normal for them,They tend to eat grass to improve Digestion and also meet some Nutrition that is not enough in their Dog food example Fiber need,that's why they eat grass.
But some Dogs usually throw up after eating Grass though.

The man staying with the dog to chew off some grass obviously knows what he's doing. Dogs eat grass occasionally. The fibre in them aids digestion
