Atiku playing on Nigerians with political restructuring.

As if Atiku is elected president, he shall rule like a military dictator and restructure Nigeria politically on his own directives alone.

Once Hell-Rufai and Rabiu Kwankwaso rally other northern politicians against restructuring of the polity, that shall be the end of any attempt by a president Atiku on political restructuring.

We wait for another eight years.

Goatluck was there for 6 years, why didn't he restructure. When Goatluck and his gang of 40 thieves were looting and sharing, you all did not shout restructuring, now that the new Sheriff has stopped the looting, or rather now that it is the turn of another set of thieves to loot, you all are now shouting restructuring. A northerner will never ever restructure Nigeria except when they discover oil in very large commercial quantity in the north.

Atiku Abubakar had shown interest in becoming Nigeria’s President since 1993 when he contested the Presidential primaries of the then Social Democratic Party alongside Chief Moshood Abiola and Baba Ghana Kingibe. He was persuaded to withdraw from the contest and throw his weight behind Chief Abiola on the basis of his relative youth amongst other things. Age, it was said, was on his side, and he had many years to seek the Presidency. Since then, he has never stopped dreaming and aspiring. Unfortunately, he has always just fallen short! He had made his next move in 2003, after he served as Vice President to President Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999. The “abortive coup” (as it was described), to force Obasanjo out and bring Atiku in, by the all-powerful Governors of the time failed spectacularly. The cold war between Atiku and his boss exploded into full view and became a smouldering inferno. Atiku instantly became a marked man. He himself would be forced out of the party he helped to found and had to join others to form another party. But before too long Atiku was compelled by circumstances to scamper back to PDP. Not many felt that was a smart move. He was viewed as being too desperate and unprincipled. This flip-flop has been his major albatross. And he was not yet done! Atiku again jumped ship from the floundering PDP when some five Governors defected and joined the fulcrum of APC. There are already indications that he may be compelled to abandon ship again but where to, we don’t know. Some say that he is grooming PDM for this purpose and has already caused a crisis in his former movement.

Do the Afonjas and Igbos who are merely struggling for the largest crumb even know the bee that stung them in one Naijeriyaaa?

Arewa draws undue political over-representation from the undue large number of 20 states and hundreds of local government areas proliferated by northern military dictators in one northern region; a region controlled by Hausa/Fulani political class. From this, core-north political class largely determines who shall be president, as well as what shall be where in Nigeria.

Northern Nigeria presents its mostly old and barely educated but trusted north-centric politicians to contest for presidency.
They win because a presidential candidate needs 25% of votes in 2/3 of the 36 states.

Thus a goat from northern Nigeria is most likely to win a most qualified presidential candidate from the south of Nigeria.

Igbos and Afonjas fight over who shall get the larger crumb; instead of insisting that land mass is never used as criterion to create new states or local government councils or provinces in a country where distinct groups came together to form a country.

Can American government divide the large Southern US states of California and Texas into five states each, but divide the smaller northern US states like Washington DC or New Jersey into two each and prescribe equal numbers of Senators from each state? Never!!!

If that happens, the south of US shall start to own the US.

The Igbos and Afonjas of Southern Nigeria fight themselves;

instead of together reject the rogue 36 states +Abuja political structure which springs up the Buharis , the Atikus, the Yar Aduas, the accidental GEJ and OBJs.

There is a position called 3rd runner up. That's the 4th position in any contest.
