The Nigerian Law School in Abuja has allegedly prevented Mr. Kayode Bello, the expelled law student from registering for his Part II Bar Examination, despite a pronouncement by the Federal High Court to the effect that he should be allowed to write the examination scheduled for August 15th, 2017. A Federal High Court in Abuja had on Wednesday, August 9, issued an order, following the ex-parte motion filed by the student challenging his expulsion by authorities of the Law School.

Mr. Bello, however, said told our correspondent that he was not allowed to enter the school campus on Friday even though the institution for legal education had been served with the court order.

“I went to the campus on Friday to start my registration but I was not allowed to enter,” he said.

“The security officer said I should call the CSO. The CSO picked my call but disconnected immediately he heard my voice. I called back a number of times, but he would not pick my calls anymore.”

The law student said that he also sent text messages to the secretary of Council of Legal Education and the Chief Security officer but his messages went unacknowledged.

Meanwhile, our correspondent called the (CSO) of the Abuja campus to get their side of the story but the CSO dropped the call immediately he heard that she was calling from Saharareporters.

Bailiff of court, Mr. Bentu Joseph confirmed to our correspondent that the order had been served on the Council of Legal Education, the 1st respondent in the application.

“I served personally on the Council of Legal Education on Friday morning,” he said.
Mr. Bello was expelled from the campus after series of events that started March 15, when he had altercations with a female colleague over reservation of seat for lectures.

He was subsequently ejected from his room and evicted from the campus altogether. Kay Bello, as fondly called was subsequently handed over to the police.

He filed a lawsuit for redress on Monday, August 7, 2017, at the Federal High Court in Maitama and was granted his prayers on Wednesday. Mr. Bello expulsion has led to widespread condemnation of the authorities of the school on social media.

Kayode Bello, do you believe that God is your vindicator?

Just have faith in Him, I know definitely He will see you through. Good to know you as a freedom fighter.

We are the product of our education. Imagine a school that produces lawyers and judges flagrantly disobeying court order. That is the reason we have Buhari, FG and Nnamdi Kanu disobeying every court order upandan.

If na Salisu for one Katsina village or Eket for Akwa Ibom or Dele for Osogbo disobey court order, na long jumps dem go take measure the jail term. Later, them go say Nigeria belongs to all of us. Make I come dey go
