In a series of tweets posted by Kaduna state's ministry of finance yesterday evening, a new revelation was made regarding the state's internally generated revenue.

The ministry's tweet contains figures that were entirely different from what the National bureau of statistics posted on their website http://www.nigerianstat.gov.ng on May this year.

The data which was published at different times by the two government bodies captured record of internally generated revenue for Kaduna state from 2012 to 2016. Suprisingly all the figures vary greatly.

The 2016 figures for instance shows that the state's Igr stands at N17bn according to NBS, while Kaduna government's version shows N23bn.

The disparity is huge, how it managed to reoccur for four years unnoticed is mind boggling.

i believe higher igr in some extent is suposed to translate to increased standard of living and functionality of the state government in their areas of responsinilites especally wages..but the reverse is the case especally with the south west states were a particular states igr like they cliam is more than that of the entite igr of the esst but they owe salaries and heavily indented while states like anambra and enugu whose igr is not up to a local governments igr in the soo called rich stste like they cliamed is ip to date.
So wjo is fooling who? Thank God for these revelations we now know there are two igr data coming from the west..one is oluwole data and the other is the real data.

Not making sense as usual. How many workers are employed by each state. I can bet eastern states employ far less workers than western states.
