A good game by all standards even the game could have been worn if the chances were converted squarely. The intensity also dropped as well which allowed the Cameroonians to come at us.Three players stood out for me-Victor Moses,Leon Balogun and Ikechukwu Ezenwa. The key points in the game will surely be the penalty incident and the double save by the Nigerian goalie which kept out two substitute players that provided the bite to the attack.Echiejile was really a slow patch on the field and the midfield became porous after Mikel was sent off.All in all its just at least a point that is needed which the coach predicted when the draw was made.It will be settled in October but we should also be mindful as well not to be carried away so easily.Any of these teams in our group still stands an equal chance of qualifying for the world cup.

As per the emboldened: Not true. 1st, as of today, Cameroon is out - since their maximum possible is only 9. The qualification is now between Nigeria, Zambia and Algeria. The chances of qualification is not equal. Nigeria has the best chance. Then Zambia. Then Algeria. As of today, based on current points, maximum possible points and remaining fixtures, I give Nigeria a 60% chance of qualification, Zambia gets 25% chance and Algeria 15%. Nigeria is the most likely to qualify. If Zambia wins tomorrow then Algeria is out. And Zambia's chances of qualification shoots up to 40%.

True. If Zambia beats Algeria and Cameroon; and tie with us THEN we still qualify based on head2head. The best result for tomorrow's game, from the perspective of Nigeria, is a draw between Algeria and Zambia. This will disqualify Algeria from qualification since their maximum possible drops from 10 to 8. Zambia's maximum will also drop from 13 to 11, which means we only need 12 points (i.e two draws) to qualify ahead of them.
Head to head is like the 4th tie-breaker. The 1st tie-breaker remains goal difference. So, if Nigeria and Zambia are tied on points, the GD will first come into play.

Yes. You are right. The assumption was same GD. I should have stated that.

Okay.
It feels nice to know that SE's destiny is squarely within their hands. A minimum of 2 points from the last two games will seal the WC ticket.

It ends 1-1 in Yaoundé. If Algeria defeat Zambia, the Super Eagles are through to the 2018 World Cup.

Not a bad result by any means.

only. 3:teams are still left in contention. a win tomorrowbby Algeria means they climb to 4;points , while zambia stays at 4 points. Nigeria has a very superior goal difference of +7 , and it would take scandalous heavy losses to both Algeria and zambia for us not to qualify. by my opinion if Algeria wins tomorrow, Nigeria is over 90’percent guaranteed of qualification.

Yes, a bit of inexperience, but it was still a dodgy call. If that was a defender against the Cameroonian forward, the referee would most like not blow. Ezenwa didn't fly in, didn't go down. The Cameroonian just showed his experience by practically jumping into the goalie. Ezenwa shouldn't have come all out. Just far enough to throw the opponent off.

Nigeria's goal was a controversial one also. a player was off side. The Cameroonian penalty was also a manufactured one. two controversial goals

Look at the replay very well and see something that Ighalo did leading to the goal.As for the penalty the Nigerian goalie miscalculated his run.

Without Mikel that midfield is zero

I swear.

The moment he removed Mikel that was it.

He now made matters worse by removing Onazi. Everything just scatter pata pata.

Dem just dey off Echiejile pant any how.

Men.......stamina is our biggest weakness. Counter attacking style of play needs plenty of stamina otherwise, the closing periods would always be trying times.
