Please i really need an advice on tomatoes business , buying from Benue state ( Gboko) and bringing it down to east (Abia), I went to market where the offload tomatoes from north, where i met a woman who sells them , she told me that buyers bring in while them sell and return the money collecting their commission (500 per basket n 200 ticket fee = #700) I need an advice to know how profitable it is before investing in it.

Is it a small basket? Like this popular waste bin basket?

Storage and processing are huge problems that have kept lots of farmers impoverished. You need to see how tomatoes waste here in katsina ala and kwande despite farmers begging people to buy, Same applies to yam during harvest. I hope we help ourselves soon enough.

I base in the north, am looking forward to supplying people tomatoes and other things from the north. to those in east, op tomatoes are way cheaper in jos, if you have a good distribution plan, will be willing to also involve myself, cos is not to buy that is the major problem but to re-sell.
