This is a very stubborn thing, once happened to my brother,
Even at worst his frnds adviced him to cut it open and apply bleach to the wound but i guess the bleach aggrevated the whole boil around the back of the neck.
He was later referred a doctor in asa road abia state who gavr him 7 days injection � dialy at the back of the head just directly to the wound after cutting it out, it healed him fast. U wont see anything there.

hello, first of all am sorry about your uncle, from the pictures it looks like he has a staph infection. Most people carry the staph bateria on their skin, all it requires is just a cut for the germs to enter and cause this infection. Let him visit the nearest specialist hospital close to him, the doctor would most likely numb the area and may decide to incise and drain the boil, but that depends on his observation and your uncles health status, if he is diabetic the doctor might decide otherwise.

I saw an exactly similar condition on TV. Turns out the guys immune system was having an exaggerated reaction to minor bacteria. It was a reality show where embarrassing conditions are treated. The guy affected with similar condition said he contemplated suicide. Eventually, the dermatologist prescribed a medicated head wash to use over a period of time, some medication and he was given injections under his scalp. It seemed painful but the guy was cured. So I think you need to take your uncle to a dermatologist before naija doctors use your uncle to practice their guess work. Sorry.

Ive seen this before its caused by in-growth of the hair. A combo of steriods, oral antibiotics and topical treatments made the patient a lot better after a 12 weeks

I am not a doctor but an experienced retired barber . I had come across different types of bumps and based on my experience with ppl with such infections you need to first get a personal clipper to avoid transmission to someone else, b4 taking these steps
1. Regular cutting of the hair
2. Avoid completely skim cuts
3. Don't sratch and Donnot scrap the surface ,it will get dried naturally
4. Funny enough dont take any form of medications , I assure you it will be more severe.
I have seen alot of these and ppl that followed this steps v recovered.

Hi everyone in this forum. Please, I need advice pertaining the health condition of my uncle.
Hear my story in a nutshell.

I have an uncle who's fond of going to the Berber's shop with his private clipper but one day, he went without his own clipper. From that day onwards, he started experiencing scratches at the back of his head. He thought it was minor issue, it then developed into small boils. He started going to different chemist and pharmacist, but it increased the more.

At a point, I personally advised him to rob Authentic herbal cream, and Kubam, yet both didn't work.

After about a month the boils grew larger and larger, and began to ache his head. He has been to more than 10 hospitals, and they keep charging outrageously in thousands, yet no solution. This sickness has lasted for more than 8 months but we haven't gotten any solution.

If there's anyone here who have a better remedy, please refer me using the comment box.
