ARSENAL striker Alexis Sanchez has been urged to dump his girlfriend because she is making him “fat and lazy”.

Chilean supporters made the plea after the side lost 1-0 to Bolivia in their World Cup qualifying clash.

They have blamed the star’s girlfriend Mayte Rodriguez.

And they have started a Facebook event calling for a protest march against their relationship.

A staggering 9,000 have said they would attend the “March so that Alexis ends it with Mayte and returns to his level to reach the 2018 World Cup in Russia.”
Sanchez, 28, started dating the model this year, and the pair regularly post photos together.

Mayte is a famous actress in her home country.
The 28-year-old blonde beauty is clearly a huge star and has more than 293,000 followers on Instagram.
But Chilean fans think she is a distraction.

Fans' views have been echoed by former Chile Under-20 boss Jose Sulantay, who criticised the forward for being “fatter than normal”.
“I saw him out of physical shape, totally,” he told La Cuarta.
“He’s fatter than normal.Without his spark, he never left that Paraguayan defence behind. He never made a diagonal run, it was something else. It was not Alexis.”

The march is planned for October near the team’s national stadium.

The Chilean star has had a rough couple of weeks.He had his dream move to Man City dashed on transfer deadline day.

And after the defeat to Bolivia, he said he was “tried of being criticised”.

He wrote on Instagram: “You get tired of being criticised with reason and without reason, you get tired of those who want you to lose, you get tired of saying to yourself: ‘I’ll get up again,’ after crying after a defeat.
