As part of efforts to contribute and support the development of Ekpeye Clan, former Commissioner of Education and Commissioner Designate, Professor Kaniye Ebeku donated over 500 Desk and chairs to students and teachers of Community Secondary School, Ula-Apata.

Professor Ebeku stated that the urge to give back to the society spurred him into donating to the school

"I thought it makes sense to contribute to the society that you belong to and I thought it is important for us to see how we can intervene, I found thatvthere is some need for the school chairs and desk and it is a modest effort to compliment what the Government is doing"

He explained that it is important for individuals to assist the Government in developing communities

" it is good to support what the Government is doing, it is not correct for people to think the Government will do everything at every stage we find ourself in life, we should do what we can do to support the Government. To KEY into the Vision of what his Excellency Governor Nyesom Wike is doing"
