These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me…Matthew 15:8 and Isaiah 29:13

People claim to serve and worship somebody somewhere whom suppose to be a deity of great power and might. A God as the Bible proclaimed Him, as almighty and creator of heaven and earth, but do people need to worship Him?

Do people need to worship such a God



Who is this God that people need to worship Him?

Do people need to worship such a God that is greater than all gods and mightier than the mighty?

God commanded that people of Israel should worship only Him in Exodus 20:1-11, since it is a commandment disobeying it create an offense to the creator.

How can a man offend God and still think he can have good success according to Joshua i:8, keeping the book of law and meditating on it day and night observing to do all that is written in it then you’ll make your way prosperous and have good success.

If worshiping the Lord is compulsory and a law from God to be kept without causing harm to me or anyone, which in turn will make me prosperous and successful so what stop me from doing just that?



People who God can reject their worship

God hates sin with perfect hatred, and He would not associate Himself with any sinner, unless they repented and forsake sinful life. Various sins people commit;

· Idolatry · Alcoholism
· Adultery · Theft
· Dissension · Sexual perversion
· Anger · Sorcery
· Covetousness · Drunkenness
· Rage · Heresies
· Bearing falsehood Envying
· Ambitions · Selfishness
..And many more that is not on the list above.



People do go to church in numbers but it is so sad few have a good intention of worshiping God in truth from the depth of the heart.

The Bible interpretation of worship

Abraham worship God in Genesis 22:5 with the most valuable person in his life, when Abraham agrees to offer Isaac as a sacrifice to God without resistance. He obeys a very painful task without questioning God.
To worship God requires concentration and sacrificing all things for only one God.The three wise men seek to worship the new-born king Jesus in Matthew 2:2, they traveled from a far country with that intention.
Worshiping requires that we submit and honor Him, Psalm 95:6 says let us worship and bow down…kneel before God our maker.
Worship God we know as the Alpha and Omega,God who was not made but made all things in heaven and on earth,He who give everything but would not request anything in return from anyone but a true worship (John 4:22).
Worship God in truth and spirit because He is not flesh and blood like us John 4:24 and He does not reason like human being, even science is not in any way measure up to His instinct.
The only thing God cannot do for Himself is to worship Himself yet He is the Almighty God.

People who worship God faithfully are the most exceptional and distinguished personalities on earth. In fact they own everything not only on earth, but also the eternal glory in heaven.



How to worship God

Do People Need To Worship God?

Worship God with Hymns.
Worship God with songs of praises.
Worship God through eulogies His name.
Worship God by honoring, dancing and exalting Him.
Worship God by making your heart rejoice, joyous and void of sin.
Revelation 7:11 says angels stood around the throne and elders and four living creatures. Then they fell before the throne and worshiped God.

If man fail to worship God in truth, the angels in heaven are worshiping the Almighty God tirelessly.

pls lets not start teaching LAW and also lets not extend the boundaries of GRACE.... BUT pls sir, the JESUS IN THE BIBLE ATE AND ASSOCIATED WITH SINNERS in fact that is why he was also hated by PHARISEES AND SADDUCEES.

JESUS/GOD hates SIN but Loves the SINNER that is why he Died. We can not scare people into heaven.. NO MAN CAN ENTER HEAVEN BY FEAR but only by LOVE. In trying to preach the gospel let us be plain and balanced abeg

The fact that Yahweh cares about being worshiped or believed in is one of the things that makes me almost entirely certain that he was created by humankind and not the other way around.
Because, of course, human beings do care about having their accomplishments acknowledged. Human beings do want to be worshipped. Human beings do take offense if you don’t show them the reverence they think they deserve. So, when the ancients took a look at their own despotic kings, they thought: “God must be like that, only greater.”
At the end of the day “God” is nothing more than a chimera: part fear, part hope, part ever-shrinking sum of what we do not yet understand.
