For the record only the executive arm of the Nigerian govt claims IPOB to be a terrorist organization.

The Nigerian govt's position does not translate as universal truth.

There are laid down conventions and processes to get any organization to be classified as a Terror organization and also further resolutions to be made at the UN Security counsel to have a group proscribed globally.

Apart from not following domestic laid down laws and due process in arriving at the conclusion that IPOB is a terrorist organization, the Federal govt expects France to foolishly do their bidding in shutting down IPOB funding accounts domiciled in that Nation.

First off, France is not under any obligation to shut down any account without first considering if the funds accumulated in IPOB accounts are being used for terrorist activities. Funding of Biafran paraphernalia, rallies and whatnot does not equate to a terrorist act!

Secondly, the FG can easily freeze any recipient account within Nigeria and also block any transfers from the said IPOB accounts via the CBN.

All this rubbish Lai Mohammed has uttered so far shows how daft and inept these clowns in power really are.

How did Boko Haram become a globally recognized Terrorist Organization?

Despite all the carnage and bloodshed committed by Boko Haram, it wasn't all that easy to get the group classified and duly proscribed as a terrorist organization.



It took a US congressional debate to compel on the US govt to proscribe Boko Haram, to which both the Obama WH initially declined and northern Senators and Governors kicked against. The northern governors and legislators claimed such a designation will lead to American forces being deployed to the north and they compared such move with the phantom search for WMD in Iraq as a prelude excuse to invade and destabilize that nation.

Hilary Clinton as then Secretary of State testified before a US congressional hearing on Boko Haram where she downplayed the activities of Boko Haram reiterating an official statement by the WH where Obama opined that wide spread corruption and abject poverty where at the root of what he described as an insurgency.

It will take mounted pressure by US congress to compel the Obama WH to do the needful. The abduction and murder of a British and Italian expatriate in Sokoto plus the bombing of the UN headquarters in Abuja was what made Obama to do the needful.

The facts remains that Obama refused to designate Boko Haram a Terrorist organization because of Saudi lobbyists and ACN traitors who contributed handsomely to the Clinton Crime Foundation.
