Unusual, yes, but it's the very job of the human mind to produce unusual things. You'd be mentally finished by now if you were gonna develop schizophrenia. You're fine OP.

Thats common.

I talk to myself more than I talk anyone. And this is on daily bases.

Its a self taught habit that can be untaught.

When you need, self motivation, the required push to achieve something in life, it is okay to do it. There is a taboo associated with self talk, but it is quite normal to do it. But it's good to become aware of your immediate surroundings when you are doing it, lest you create other problems for yourself.
But, if what you say to yourself seems spontaneous and nonsensical, a professional might be in order. Just in case.
