The Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) Quarters under the leadership of the speaker, Hon. Sheriff Oborewori, have been turned into commercial sex centre where prostitutes come in and go out for their sexual business.

Orient Daily gathered that those who patronise the sex workers are political aides whom occupy the lawmakers’ quarters. The activities in the quarters are now a cause of worry to the neighbours of the legislative quarters which is by Okpanam Road, Asaba.

The commercial sex workers are usually seen around the quarters, doing their business between the hours of 7:30 pm and 6:30 am.

Some Deltans have condemned the activities which have dented the image of the current Delta state legislature, wondering why it is allowed by its leadership.

In a chat with one of the sex workers within the said quarters, who spoke on condition of anonymity, she came from a poor family and had no choice but to hawk their bodies to enable them have a daily bread and also send money to their parents.
