Accounting in an organization has been proven to be one of the most difficult factor to deal within an organization, unlike non-living object which can be predicted with reasonable degree of accuracy. Auditing in an organization plays a significant role in its performance, as it has to do with capital mobility of any organization. Organization has been challenged with the question facing the accuracy of audit work in its activities. This study has explained elaborately and highlights the various impact and ways through which the workers can improve and highly encourage auditing activities effectively and efficiently. CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
The world is an environment surround with dimension of boundaries creating out continents. Countries are being drawn from these continents. In every country there is establishment of local government administration services which serve the purpose of carrying out duties and obligations delegated to them by the federal and state government of the country.
For the purpose of maintaining and managing the efficiency of local government administration successfully and effectively, there must be the implication of an auditor be internal or external auditor whose duty is to interpret the financial statement of accounts prepared by the accountant and organize the financial position of the local government.
The suggested entrance or roles of auditing programme in the local government administration induces complex social interactions between the elected bodies and the non-elected bodies like the derk, accountant, auditors etc. The local government’s action and tend to restrict the Local Government unilateral rights and flexibility.
The impact played by both the company act and allied matter degree 1972. These are the roles and obligations the auditors implement in order to elaborate vividly the local government stand point, most especially in the financial aspect of its undertakings.
In local government administration we know that members of the Board of Directors who are to manage the undertakings of the local government administration are elected by the shareholders of the local government and the chairmen are elected by vote within the local government administration.
The auditors are employees of the local government administration in that, they are appointed through election. The auditor needs to satisfy himself that work delegated to him has been satisfactorily carried out by reviewing the audit working papers in support of the work done.
The great impactation in order for an auditor to exercise his due professional case or to avoid charge for negligence, the following qualities are required for him. He must be honest, accurate, painstaking, conscientiousness and vigilant. The courage of his own conviction must be applicable to aid his perfect examination of the financial statement of any account.
The financial statement of an account must be free of errors. This is one of the things the accountant of any firm or the local government administration must make sure is not present before the book is being given out to the auditor’s impact on and his duty is to give his judgment based on the book and tracking out only the mate5rials miss-statement of that account. There, if any fraud is realize in the statement that was already prepared by the accountant of the organisation, the auditors cannot be hold responsible to such, rather the organization (the employees). The auditors are liable to the remuneration charged on time spent during the examination of the book which the employer engaging them are liable to fulfill.
