Onila are they "ALWAYS" complaining and over what?! Its no more than just one of those propaganda by the west that 'ARAB WOMEN ARE ALWAYS COMPLAINING'.

See, they are enjoying a LUXURY denied to too many women particularly in the west, the capital of women workers who never stop complaining about being underpaid, overworked, molestations and yet that they still have home duties to do. Onila ever notice in the west that women married to men in the upper income level rarely work especially if she has children?.

The government is employing them in factories, where they can earn a few francs. But on the other hand, this has totally destroyed the bases of family life. Yes, the husband may benefit from his wife's earnings, but apart from that, his earnings have decreased because now he is competing with her for work."

In the west it is a status symbol STAY AT HOME MUM OR WIFE means you are rich.

I actually thought this was going to be a smart conversation but am disappointed let's see am guessing because they have more potential but they are shut down, am also guessing they want to express themselves but are also shut down, they can't do much without a males guidance , I guess for hardworking women this would be an issue, but I don't think someone like you should bother about it, just end up with a rich guy and you don't need to work hard or think smart, its such a stress dear.

I opened this thread with immense enthusiasm to read insightful and thought-provoking reasons why Arab Women should quit demanding for gender equality and concentrate on the restricted roles they play in the society. But women are not given the same treatment in the Arab world. Some states are almost at the same level with the West, while others are as conservative as the Saudis who recently granted women in the kingdom right to drive. Note that while almost all Arab women take driving for granted, Saudi women were denied the right to drive. Man and women are by nature holistic beings. It is wrong to solve economic problems at the expense of religious and political problems, and not contend with criticisms. That was why Muammar Gaddafi misread and misunderstood the ability of Libyans whom he had provided with all good things of life, except, of course, rights to political participation. So, staying at home and enjoying all the goodies government has to offer, is certainly not enough.

Bro have you done a case study around the world as to societies which have stay home mum, who look after the home and welfare of their children and the society which both parents are all out there sweating it out because their systems have pushed them out there to make ends meet.

Check out which of these two societies groom the best of children for example. It is IGNORANCE to suppose that because a woman stays at home that she is not smart or not running a business. There are a good number of Arab Women who are Multimillionaires stay at home mums, who own businesses all they do is give directives and its not as if they are treated as prisioners. All that it takes is permission from their husbands to go out thats all and there is no fuss about that, no big deal and its ideal to not allow a woman to wander all by herself its only part of the protection that she deserves. The thing is we see the world through our biases and not through understanding. ARAB WOMEN DONT COMPLAIN ITS ALL PART OF THE PROPAGANDA BY A SOCIETY THAT HAS SO LOST ALL MORAL SENSE TO THE EXTENT THAT MEN ARE NOW MARRYING MEN AND WOMEN MARRYING WOMEN AND ITS ALL ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS. Have you ever tried doing a study on blogging. Guess what alot of women in the west now prefer to sit in the comfort of their homes as bloggers while they attend to the duties that comes along with being a house wife or whatever.

On this note, however, Gaddafi seemed to have completely defeated the West and their collaborators until the Benghazi protest began. As I typed earlier, man is a holistic animal. Gaddafi erred by denying Libyans political participation for whopping 42 years. And when the people demanded for political rights he denounced them as 'rats' and 'rapists', and rolled out tanks against his people. He unwittingly created a chance for his Western traducers to intervene in Libya, and put to an end his autocratic government. You will certainly agree with me that Yahya Jammel was far more wiser than Muammar Gaddafi, even though the circumstances were a bit different. Having being rejected by his people, Jammel bade for time, secure a favourable deal, and flee to exile. Gaddafi could have dialogue with the so-called rebels of Benghazi, or secure a favourable deal and go to exile. He was vain and cocky. He thought he would crush the rebels and continue his rule. Gaddafi failed, and today Libya is a big mess caused by the Gaddafi and the West.

Gaddafi's case is far far far different from Jamel, Mubaraq e.t.c as per the Arab Spring which people think is the root of the issue. Whether Gaddafi had stepped down or not he still would have been apprehended. CAN YOU TELL US WHY THEY SAME TREATMENT WASNT GIVEN TO SYRIA'S ASAD WHO WAS CRUSHING PROTESTERS AS LIBYA WAS QUICKLY PULLED DOWN? So you think it makes sense that the president of Nigeria should step down all because some people want Biafra. Or why is Nigeria still holding on to Biafra? They blame sit tight governments for not wanting to give up power yet the queen and her family have been ruling almost half of the world since loong ago and would not consider leaving the British throne for another elected queen or king. Hypocrisy at its finest.
