Not less than 45 members of the Boko Haram have been sentenced to between 3- 31 years in prison for terrorism.

A Federal High Court sitting in Kainji, Niger State, on Friday handed down the verdicts at the conclusion of the first phase of the trial during which 575 Boko Haram suspects were arraigned.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, said 468 other suspects who had no case to answer were discharged and acquitted by the court.
34 cases were struck out while 28 suspects were remanded for trial in Abuja and Minna

The court ordered that the 468 discharged persons should undergo deradicalization and rehabilitation programmes before they are handed over to their respective state governments........READ MORE

The court discharged the vast majority of guys. They go home after rehab and deradicalization program. Then they had to just throw out 34 cases. The 45 convictions are tiny fraction even though it's most Nigeria convicted on record. 

It seems the press was right they don't have much evidence on these guys to do much of anything. I wonder how 4 judges got through these many cases so fast. The trials shouldn't be secret.
