Harry Kane's September goal blitz has earned him the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker scored six goals in four appearances last month and wins the award for the fifth time, moving level with Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.

Only Steven Gerrard, with six, has won the accolade on more occasions.

The 24-year-old received the most combined votes from a panel of experts, Premier League captains and fans to claim the prize ahead of six other nominees:

Manchester City's Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne, Brighton & Hove Albion's Pascal Gross, Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles, Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata.
