Hello All, I Am A Public Servant With One Of The Federal Universities In The Country. I Mean To Visit The US Next Year For Two Weeks During My 30-day Annual Leave. My Annual Gross Pay Is In Six Zeros, I Am Single, In My 30s, And Would Be Traveling For The First Time. Given The Unmatched Credentials Of Most Of You Here, I'd Like You To Assess My Situation And Advise Accordingly.

P.S: Spending At The Most, Two Weeks, As My Annual Leave Is Just 30 Days.

I applied for b1 b2 visa in December 2016, i filled married as my status and entered my then fiance's name as my spouse(he already had his visa then). In Feb 2017, i attended the interview and my visa was issued. A month after, the relationship crashed. I got into another relationship in September with an Nigerian American citizen who came home in August, and immediately we did traditional marriage.

In Oct 2017, i travelled to meet him and we fixed our church wedding for Dec 9. One of our invited guests from Nigeria was delayed at the POE when she told them she was coming for my marriage. She was asked if i was married before and she said no. The US immigration people called my husband asked if i was married before and he said no. After series of scrutiny they allowed my in law entry.

We discussed this with the American pastor in our church and he said the wedding be cancelled that he can't join us together.

Please what do i do at this juncture. My passport and visa carry carry my parent name.

Even your pastor suspects your marriage is a fraud. Yeah nothing to say to you...

You will be called in for a chat to verify your case.

Oga justwise, stop giving this dude false hope, chat, talk etc he will still go for interview as he will have to schedule an interview date to even be allowed into the embassy to explain his predicament, USA embassy will not call him to come pick up another visa just like that. He still need to obtain a passport, pay another visa fees, schedule a fresh interview date then go on the set date to explain himself. It's left to the VO to issue him another visa or not.

You better invest your time on how you can get another passport and schedule an expedited interview date rather than waste that time being afraid of an interview. Whether you like it or not, you still have to schedule an interview date and face a VO for questioning so save your energy.

Apart from travel history I think you have good ties even though you did not reveal how much you earn... Give it a try and I'm sure if you know your onions you should get the visa.

hello gurus in the house, I just submitted my visa application without a passport photograph on it and I've scheduled an appointment. what should I do to correct this please. thank you all.

so I got to the embassy at 8:30am exacta, do all the normal checking and low it was my turn,
Me: good morning ma'am
VO:good morning, your passport please, (I don't actually hear all this but I was watching her lips and I know that's the first thing she will ask for)
Me: pass the passport to her and telling her at the same time that I am an hearing impair person, that I can't hear her but I could read and talk, so I do like her to write. But she didn't write but speak louder on the microphone and I was lucky to hear
VO :where are you going?
Me:Hollywood Florida, and trying to explain that I will touch down first at Pembroke Pines where my aunty stay, that she is d one that will take me to the hospital at Hollywood, I haven't said 3words out of this when I hear
VO : for what purpose?
Me:for medical, I want to do cochlear implant
VO,:typing.... And then look up and ask something which I didn't hear but I calculate she was asking for the support document
Me: hand over the invitation letter from the specialist and my medical records obtain from my local hospital (UCH)
VO,:looking at it and typing, hand it over back
VO:who is paying?
Me: I couldn't hear her, she repeat herself and I still lost it, so she use her hand to gesture like one counting cash, so I quickly transform she was asking who is paying
Me:my aunty, saying her name, I haven't finish but saw her typing and then look up and told me something I couldn't hear, then she handover a white paper and my passport
So I read the first sentence you have been found intelligible....... Blah blah and I went to grab plantain chips and cold water
Please I want to re apply, and from our conversation and the time she made her decision, I think my aunty staying in Miami double as the sponsor is a red flag, please expert what do I need to add or remove?

1. I think you don't need a visa to visit any ECOWAS country e.g. Ghana, Togo, Benin republic etc, so that probably no longer is a tangible travel history, my opinion.
2. Another point, how did your sister enter the US?
3. And what is with "graduation ceremonies"? it would make more sense to me, that the father and/or the mother would be the one's going for the offspring's graduation ceremony. (a VO might think along this way)
4. You are leaving your family behind to visit your sister, why can't you go as a family? maybe your finances are not as strong as you claim (a VO might think along this way)

They will give you another white paper at the collection center.

IMAGINARY VO: You say your Aunt is sponsoring your medical treatment? what happens when you get to the US and circumstances arise and she is not able to finance your operation, what are you going to do? You won't qualify for medicaid and health costs in the US are expensive, surely there are other countries that can handle your case, even much better than that in the US.

Sorry about your refusal but I will be blunt sir.
Before you went, it was clear to you and all that your ties are practically non existent. So what do you want to add or remove? That u magically got the money to pay? Or what?
A cochlear implant can be put anywhere.... Dubai, India, many other countries.
Do not bother reapplying. Your aunt can send you the money for the treatment and you can get it done cheaper sir
