So Jesus didn't say he is God and you want us to believe he is? Are you telling us that you know him better than himself? Who are you?

So if he was God, the human side overpowered his divine side(just look at ur reasoning). And also satan tempted him. evidence
Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
Matthew:4:1

I know u would run away, u have not responded to my previous posts in dis thread and past threads.

overlook like u always do!!!
He was tempted by satan cos He was in human form. He brought Himself low such that He took on Human form. That made satan able to tempt him. But satan cannot tempt Him when He was in His glory.

He faced the temptation to show us how to defeat the temptations of satan. Now we know never to worship satan cos Jesus never did as a Human despite satan offering Him everything.

All i did was to present scriptural evidence...which really is not verifiable evidence and you do not have to accept it but I believe the revelations I get from the Bible to be true and they show that your remarks about the first century Christians, Jesus and his disciples are all wrong...I guess you must have your own bible where it says Jesus never preached the Trinity...

Did you read Philippians 2:5-9 if u didn’t then this quote is invalid. Except u are not a Christian. The very mistake most Christians are making about this trinity thing is that they even get the whole idea wrong. The worship of triad god heads didn’t start of late it has its origin from the days of ham down to the Babylonians during their pagan worship. The word trinity has pagan descents. Just read the Philippians 2:5-9 n reply on that. Open your Bible n read pls. Bless u

Read the below verse to know why Jesus spoke to those people in that manner.

John 1:11
10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him.
11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
And yet the following contradictions will not disappear

And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but ONE that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
Matthew:19:17 (jesus himself confirming one God).

And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
Mark:12:32

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Mark:12:29 (this cannot get any better "OUR LORD OUR GOD IS ONE"wink

Yet again if jesus(peace be upon him) was God, dat means his human side overpowered his divine, when he was on earth or when satan tempted him. Can satan tempt God?
can a billion humans overpower God.

Jesus (peace be upon him) is a messenger of God, a prophet sent to guide the jews to the right path.

Trinity is simple. Trinity says there are THREE PERSONS and each are in each other, by each other, for each other, with each other and on each other...Muslims preach oneness as a number. Christianity preaches oneness as unity. Muslims says there is only 1 GOD but Christianity says there are THREE PERSONS united. That is why we say Jesus is GOD, the Father is GOD and the HolyGhost is GOD, THREE PERSONS but yet one...

Isaiah 48:16 Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.

THREE PERSONS BONDED AS ONE...

The trinity is revealed in the union between a man and his wife...a man and his wife are two different entities but when they CLEAVE TO EACH OTHER they that were once two people become one, this is the oneness of the Trinity!

Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Matthew 19:5 And God said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and unite with his wife, and the two will become one. GNB rendition.

Herein lies the secret to the Trinity!

Since you don’t want to read and make comments on that bible quote I sent then let’s forget it. The word trinity sef no dey any Bible. Where did the word trinity come from pls. Where was it adopted from into Christianity. Trinity means a triad god head taken from paganism. Go and make research. But first if u won’t comment of that Bible scripture then let’s leave the issue.

JESUS is the word of God made flesh in the likeness of man (the son of man). He is the fullness of the Godhead bodily while he was on earth(physical human form). The scriptures said so. Now on ascension the word returned to the Godhead....seated at the right hand of power. It is one God with His words, His spirit, and His spiritual personality. I am not confused about this. This is same misunderstanding of trinity.

Happy EasterSunday.

He tempted a manifestation of God. Satan saw the opportunity to tempt God when He came in Human form. But in God's true nature, satan can't. Remember that satan has been challenging Good for long. Remember the story of Job. Stan was glad he finally had the opportunity to tempt God in human form. But he failed. Tell me which human will reject when offered the entire kingdoms of earth? Only God can cos He created the earth.

The GOD you say is above such rubbish and nonsense...do you even know HIM. Do you relate with Him? Have you ever heard from Him? You have been praying often has He ever spoken back to you? If all the Qurans in the world were burnt would you know anything about Him? Ibrahim you so fondly speak of in your Masjids never read the Quran or the Bible or the Torah but He knew GOD, spoke with GOD and GOD spoke to him...do you have the same testimony as Ibrahim? Do you ever wish to be like Ibrahim? To be able to dialogue with your creator? You defend a God you do not know! You call names and get violent over a God you do not know and have never perceived...is that not foolishness...

So u mean that bible verse says Jesus is equal to God.... Philippians 2:5-9 says:

” 5 Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. 7 No, but he emptied himself and took a slave’s form and became human. 8 More than that, when he came as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, yes, death on a torture stake. 9 For this very reason, God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every other name”. Pls I stand to correct you. That part says Jesus is not equal to God. U just shot urself in the head.

Contradictions in the Qur'an

The Qur'an states that it is a perfect book preserved otablets in heaven (Surah 85:21-22). If the Qur'an is a
perfect book from Allah, then there shouldn't be any
contradictions in it. Of course, the Muslims will deny
any contradictions exist in the Qur'an, but they do.
Some of the contradictions below could be debated, but
some of them are clearly contradictions.
A contradiction occurs when one statement on a
subject excludes the possibility of another. The first
one here is a good example. In Surah 19:67, it states
that man was created out of nothing. In 15:26, man is
created from clay. Since clay is something, we have a
contradiction since "nothing" excludes the possibility of
"clay." Both cannot be true.
All quotes from the Qur'an, unless otherwise specified,
are from Yusuf Ali and can be found at the Qur'an
online.
1. What was man created from: blood, clay, dust, or
nothing?
1. "Created man, out of a (mere) clot of
congealed blood," (96:2).
2. "We created man from sounding cla y, from
mud moulded into shape, (15:26).
3. "The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as
that of Adam; He created him from dust ,
then said to him: "Be". And he was," (3:59).
4. "But does not man call to mind that We
created him before out of nothing ?" (19:67,
Yusuf Ali). Also, 52:35).
5. "He has created man from a sperm-drop ;
and behold this same (man) becomes an
open disputer! (16:4).
2. Is there or is there not compulsion in religion
according to the Qur'an?
1. "Let there be no compulsion in religion :
Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever
rejects evil and believes in Allah hath
grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold,
that never breaks. And Allah heareth and
knoweth all things," (2:256).
2. "And an announcement from Allah and His
Messenger , to the people (assembled) on
the day of the Great Pilgrimage,--that Allah
and His Messenger dissolve (treaty)
obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye
repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn
away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate
Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to
those who reject Faith ," (9:3).
3. "But when the forbidden months are past,
then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye
find them, and seize them, beleaguer them,
and lie in wait for them in every stratagem
(of war); but if they repent, and establish
regular prayers and practice regular charity,
then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-
forgiving, Most Merciful," (9:5).
4. Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the
Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath
been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger,
nor acknowledge the religion of Truth , (even
if they are) of the People of the Book, until
they pay the Jizya with willing submission,
and feel themselves subdued," (9:29).
3. The first Muslim was Muhammad? Abraham?
Jacob? Moses?
1. "And I [Muhammad] am commanded to be
the first of those who bow to Allah in
Islam ," (39:12).
2. "When Moses came to the place appointed
by Us , and his Lord addressed him, He said:
"O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I
may look upon thee." Allah said: "By no
means canst thou see Me (direct); But look
upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then
shalt thou see Me." When his Lord
manifested His glory on the Mount, He made
it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon.
When he recovered his senses he said:
"Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in
repentance, and I am the first to
believe ." (7:143).
3. "And this was the legacy that Abraham left
to his sons, and so did Jacob; "Oh my sons!
Allah hath chosen the Faith for you; then die
not except in the Faith of Islam ," (2:132).
4. Does Allah forgive or not forgive those who
worship false gods?
1. Allah forgiveth not that partners should be
set up with Him ; but He forgiveth anything
else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up
partners with Allah is to devise a sin Most
heinous indeed," (4:48). Also 4:116
2. The people of the Book ask thee to cause a
book to descend to them from heaven:
Indeed they asked Moses for an even
greater (miracle), for they said: "Show us
Allah in public," but they were dazed for
their presumption, with thunder and
lightning. Yet they worshipped the calf even
after clear signs had come to them; even so
we forgave them ; and gave Moses manifest
proofs of authority," (4:153).
5. Are Allah's decrees changed or not?
1. "Rejected were the messengers before thee:
with patience and constancy they bore their
rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did
reach them: there is none that can alter the
words (and decrees) of Allah . Already hast
thou received some account of those
messengers," (6:34).
2. "The word of thy Lord doth find its
fulfillment in truth and in justice: None can
change His words: for He is the one who
heareth and knoweth all, (6:115).
3. None of Our revelations do We abrogate or
cause to be forgotten, but We substitute
something better or similar : Knowest thou
not that Allah Hath power over all
things?" (2:106).
4. When We substitute one revelation for
another,- and Allah knows best what He
reveals (in stages),- they say, "Thou art but
a forger": but most of them understand
not," (16:101).
6. Was Pharaoh killed or not killed by drowning?
1. "We took the Children of Israel across the
sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them
in insolence and spite. At length, when
overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I
believe that there is no god except Him
Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am
of those who submit (to Allah in Islam) . (It
was said to him): "Ah now!- But a little
while before, wast thou in rebellion!- and
thou didst mischief (and violence)! This day
shall We save thee in the body, that thou
mayest be a sign to those who come after
thee! but verily, many among mankind are
heedless of Our Signs!" (10:90-92).
2. Moses said, "Thou knowest well that these
things have been sent down by none but the
Lord of the heavens and the earth as eye-
opening evidence: and I consider thee
indeed, O Pharaoh , to be one doomed to
destruction!" So he resolved to remove
them from the face of the earth: but We did
drown him and all who were with
him," (17:102-103).
7. Is wine consumption good or bad?
1. O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling,
(dedication of) stones, and (divination by)
arrows, are an abomination,--of Satan's
handwork: eschew such (abomination), that
ye may prosper," (5:90).
2. (Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the
righteous are promised: in it are rivers of
water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which
the taste never changes; rivers of wine , a
joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey
pure and clear. In it there are for them all
kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord.
(Can those in such Bliss) be compared to
such as shall dwell forever in the Fire, and
be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it
cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?" (47:15).
3. Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss: On
Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a
sight (of all things): Thou wilt recognize in
their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss.
Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine
sealed ," (83:22-25).

Olifiz:

Lol bro! I am in no banter with you...believe what you want and so would I. That way there would be peace amongst us and not acrimony!

Let me not be sentimental. But as we all know, there are many verses stating categorically that Jesus is the son of God. There are also many apprises that Jesus is GOD. But as known to us, when there are two directly opposite statement, at least one of them is false. In this case, which one is? or do we have two GODS or has Jesus been the only GOD right from time? There are also findings in the bible that we have only one GOD. So, am a bit confused here. Because one thing is for sure, you cannot be your father and also a son. From op's post, one thing is certain. Islam and Christianity can all relate to one God and i think that what they would want is peace and the basic laws of morality which is synonymous to both of them. One can dig out many facts to stake his claim and this debate would continue till the end of time. I think we should rather focus and delve on productive and educative matters which would benefit us all. Every one is entitled to his own choices and beliefs and so be it.

of course you are one of those who cherry picks

these are d preceding verses as part of a narration.

The Angels said, “O Mary, Allah gives you good news of a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, well-esteemed in this world and the next, and one of the nearest.
[Quran, 3:45]

He will speak to the people from the crib, and in adulthood, and will be one of the righteous.”
[Quran, 3:46]

She said, “My Lord, how can I have a child, when no man has touched me?” He said, “It will be so. Allah creates whatever He wills. To have anything done, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.”
[Quran, 3:47]

And He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, and the Torah and the Gospel.
[Quran, 3:48]

A messenger to the Children of Israel: “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord. I make for you out of clay the figure of a bird; then I breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah’s leave. And I heal the blind and the leprous, and I revive the dead, by Allah’s leave. And I inform you concerning what you eat, and what you store in your homes. In that is a sign for you, if you are believers.”
[Quran, 3:49]

“And verifying what lies before me of the Torah, and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. I have come to you with a sign from your Lord; so fear Allah, and obey me.”
[Quran, 3:50]

“Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.”
[Quran, 3:51]

When Jesus sensed disbelief on their part, he said, “Who are my allies towards Allah?” The disciples said, “We are Allah’s allies; we have believed in Allah, and bear witness that we submit.”
[Quran, 3:52]

“Our Lord, we have believed in what You have revealed, and we have followed the Messenger, so count us among the witnesses.”
[Quran, 3:53]

They (the disbelievers among the jews) planned and Allah planned; but Allah is the Best of planners.
[Quran, 3:54]

Allah said, “O Jesus, I am terminating your life, and raising you to Me, and clearing you of those who disbelieve. And I will make those who follow you superior to those who disbelieve, until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return; then I will judge between you regarding what you were disputing.
[Quran, 3:55]

i will make it simple 4 u if u dont understand, who are those who followed him? Answer: the disciples when they said "Our Lord, we have believed in what You have revealed, and we have followed the Messenger, so count us among the witnesses.”
[Quran, 3:53]

Who are those who blaspheme??

I would leave u to answer that yourself!!!

You have scattered everything now.

The bone of contention here is jesus, God ? Read my quote again.

Jesus Christ was a noble prophet of Allah!
Allah is going to punish those who distorted the message of Jesus.
And those who foolishly follow the distorted message

How would you react to this:

5. "He has created man from a sperm-drop ;
and behold this same (man) becomes an
open disputer! (16:4).
2. Is there or is there not compulsion in religion
according to the Qur'an?
1. "Let there be no compulsion in religion :
Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever
rejects evil and believes in Allah hath
grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold,
that never breaks. And Allah heareth and
knoweth all things," (2:256).
2. "And an announcement from Allah and His
Messenger , to the people (assembled) on
the day of the Great Pilgrimage,--that Allah
and His Messenger dissolve (treaty)
obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye
repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn
away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate
Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to
those who reject Faith ," (9:3).
3. "But when the forbidden months are past,
then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye
find them, and seize them, beleaguer them,
and lie in wait for them in every stratagem
(of war); but if they repent, and establish
regular prayers and practice regular charity,
then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-
forgiving, Most Merciful," (9:5).
4. Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the
Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath
been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger,
nor acknowledge the religion of Truth , (even
if they are) of the People of the Book, until
they pay the Jizya with willing submission,
and feel themselves subdued," (9:29).
3. The first Muslim was Muhammad? Abraham?
Jacob? Moses?
1. "And I [Muhammad] am commanded to be
the first of those who bow to Allah in
Islam ," (39:12).
2. "When Moses came to the place appointed
by Us , and his Lord addressed him, He said:
"O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I
may look upon thee." Allah said: "By no
means canst thou see Me (direct); But look
upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then
shalt thou see Me." When his Lord
manifested His glory on the Mount, He made
it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon.
When he recovered his senses he said:
"Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in
repentance, and I am the first to
believe ." (7:143).
3. "And this was the legacy that Abraham left
to his sons, and so did Jacob; "Oh my sons!
Allah hath chosen the Faith for you; then die
not except in the Faith of Islam ," (2:132).
4. Does Allah forgive or not forgive those who
worship false gods?
1. Allah forgiveth not that partners should be
set up with Him ; but He forgiveth anything
else, to whom He pleaseth; to set up
partners with Allah is to devise a sin Most
heinous indeed," (4:48). Also 4:116
2. The people of the Book ask thee to cause a
book to descend to them from heaven:
Indeed they asked Moses for an even
greater (miracle), for they said: "Show us
Allah in public," but they were dazed for
their presumption, with thunder and
lightning. Yet they worshipped the calf even
after clear signs had come to them; even so
we forgave them ; and gave Moses manifest
proofs of authority," (4:153).
5. Are Allah's decrees changed or not?
1. "Rejected were the messengers before thee:
with patience and constancy they bore their
rejection and their wrongs, until Our aid did
reach them: there is none that can alter the
words (and decrees) of Allah . Already hast
thou received some account of those
messengers," (6:34).
2. "The word of thy Lord doth find its
fulfillment in truth and in justice: None can
change His words: for He is the one who
heareth and knoweth all, (6:115).
3. None of Our revelations do We abrogate or
cause to be forgotten, but We substitute
something better or similar : Knowest thou
not that Allah Hath power over all
things?" (2:106).
4. When We substitute one revelation for
another,- and Allah knows best what He
reveals (in stages),- they say, "Thou art but
a forger": but most of them understand
not," (16:101).
6. Was Pharaoh killed or not killed by drowning?
1. "We took the Children of Israel across the
sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them
in insolence and spite. At length, when
overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I
believe that there is no god except Him
Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am
of those who submit (to Allah in Islam) . (It
was said to him): "Ah now!- But a little
while before, wast thou in rebellion!- and
thou didst mischief (and violence)! This day
shall We save thee in the body, that thou
mayest be a sign to those who come after
thee! but verily, many among mankind are
heedless of Our Signs!" (10:90-92).
2. Moses said, "Thou knowest well that these
things have been sent down by none but the
Lord of the heavens and the earth as eye-
opening evidence: and I consider thee
indeed, O Pharaoh , to be one doomed to
destruction!" So he resolved to remove
them from the face of the earth: but We did
drown him and all who were with
him," (17:102-103).
7. Is wine consumption good or bad?
1. O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling,
(dedication of) stones, and (divination by)
arrows, are an abomination,--of Satan's
handwork: eschew such (abomination), that
ye may prosper," (5:90).
2. (Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the
righteous are promised: in it are rivers of
water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which
the taste never changes; rivers of wine , a
joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey
pure and clear. In it there are for them all
kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord.
(Can those in such Bliss) be compared to
such as shall dwell forever in the Fire, and
be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it
cuts up their bowels (to pieces)?" (47:15).
3. Truly the Righteous will be in Bliss: On
Thrones (of Dignity) will they command a
sight (of all things): Thou wilt recognize in
their faces the beaming brightness of Bliss.
Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine
sealed ," (83:22-25).

You call names and get violent over a God you do not know and have never perceived...is that not foolishness...
i know u know d truth ehn!!!

Lol... so was the iching, the quran, the tao and other scriptures written by men...they were not written by demigods or spirits. I wonder how a spirit will write something that a human can read, lol...you choose to believe what you believe!
Let me take your last statement. Yes! I choose to believe that Jesus is the son of God, that he died for me and on the third day he rose again. You see, being a christian is not about having the mental knowledge through different mediums of learning but through revelation by the Spirit. If only you truly want to prove this truth, all you can do is ask him to prove himself to you with a sincere heart and you will find him.

He should also explain this:

Psalm 83:18 "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth." King James Version (KJV)

Yes now. That’s the psalmist telling us Gods true name “Jehovah” not Jesus Christ. The name Jehovah that most bibles have chosen to replace with lord so cause confusion. Jehovah and Jesus Christ are not equal. Jehovah is our one true God and Jesus is he’s son.

I bet he would not still agree after seeing all this n confirming from he’s Bible

Which principles of Trinity are you claiming here.
Mark 12 . 28:29. And one of the scribes came , and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him which is " THE FIRST COMMANDMENTS OF ALL? AND JESUS answered him " THE FIRST OF ALL THE COMMANDMENTS IS HEAR, THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD.

Only God can cos He created the earth.

yet again satan wud not dare to tempt a part of God (son) or God himself. He no go try am.

So frm ur writeup, i take it u belive dat d human nature can overcome /overpower divine nature.
