The leader of Austria's right-leaning People's Party has declared victory in a national election that puts him on track to become Europe's youngest head of government. The Austrian Foreign Minister, Sebastian Kurz, claimed the win on Sunday night after projections gave his party a comfortable lead with more than 90 per cent of the ballots counted. Mr Kurz managed to propel his People's Party to first place by taking a hard line on immigration that left little space between it and the far-right Freedom Party (FPO). "I am truly overwhelmed," Kurz told cheering supporters at an election party after polls closed.
At 31, Kurtz will be the world's youngest leader after Vanessa D'Ambrosio, 28, regent of San Marino, finishes her rotating co-leadership arrangement at the end of October. He is two years younger than North Korea's Kim Jong-un and eight years younger than France's Emmanuel Macron.

This sort of things only happens in a true nation...E.G Yoruba is nation and it can happen in Yoruba because they shall speak in unison.

Our political structure in Nigeria makes it almost impossible for the right candidates and youths to win major political parties primary elections. You can only find this set of people in ''jamb political parties'' where they will get ''jamb scores'' not enough to win elections.Nigerian political parties are only interested in candidates that can win elections irrespective of whether they can do the job or not. The electorate must look beyond these major political parties whose candidates' objectives are parties' private interests. A weak or faulty political system or structure can only produce weak and bad political leaders and by extension bad govt. Youths are taking over govts in many countries today. Nigeria shouldn't be an exception if they are capable.
