The Journey So far

ARISE debuted in 2009, with the wife of the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye who spoke on WISDOM FOR TODAY'S WOMAN.

ARISE 2010 centered on the topic THE KINGS DAUGHTER. The Guest Speaker was Reverend (Mrs.) Funke Felix-Adejumo. She encouraged the women to arise and take their rightful place in Nation Building even as Nigeria celebrated its Golden Jubilee.


ARISE 2011 themed DIVINE HARMONY - Body, Soul and Spirit had Mama Trice Shombusho, a Minister of the Gospel from Tanzania, as the Guest Speaker.

ARISE 2012, focused on - WOMEN ON THE CUTTING EDGE. This topic was handled by a respected international Prophet from the United Kingdom, Reverend Mrs Obii Pax-Harry.

ARISE 2013 was TINY SEEDS, BIG IMPACT. Guest Speaker once again was the acclaimed Reverend Mrs Funke Felix-Adejumo of the Agape Christian Ministries Inc. based in Akure, Ondo State.

ARISE 2014 themed SEASONS AND REASONS. Guest speaker was Reverend Mrs. Christy Bature-Ogbeifun based in Port Harcourt Rivers State.

ARISE 2015 celebrated its impact in the society by highlighting and reinforcing its contributions towards Nation Building. The Conference was themed – THE SET TIME. Our Guest Speaker is Reverend Catherine Onwioduokit from Ghana and other anointed ministers of God.

ARISE 2016: GRACE to GRACE was the eighth edition and had Pastor (Mrs.) Grace Okorende (Huston USA) and Pastor Dr Becky Enenche (Nigeria) as guest speakers.

Over the years, 50,000 women have attended the Conference and gained immense benefits through their active participation.

SOME PROJECTS/PROGRAMMES BEING CONDUCTED BY ARISE FOR WOMEN.

1. Medical needs of over 15,000 women with free preventive medical care offered in the area of HIV tests, Eye test, High Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar level tests to mention but a few have been met.


2. In order to bring free quality health care delivery to the doorsteps of the medically deprived citizens in the state, the NGO has, in conjunction with our partners, acquired three mobile medical Clinics. About 30,000 people have benefitted from this mobile health delivery service at different locations through their monthly medical outreaches at Ebute-Metta, Makoko, Lagos Island, Surulere, Iwaya, Apapa, Yaba, Ikeja, Lekki/Itedo, Festac/ Amuwo etc.

3. Additionally, the Women initiated the free bi-monthly medical care for Women and Children at the Healing Stripes Hospital.


4. In November 2015, A medical outreach to the internally Displaced Persons Camp (IDP Camp) Kuje in Abuja where drugs and food items were distributed.

5.Arise Walk for Life, a charity walk to promote healthy living and preventive measures.

6. Free Women's Clinic at Healing Stripes Hospital, Victoria Island as an out-patient clinic for women on 2nd and fourth Wednesdays of the month.

7. Arise goes to school health initiative to meet the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and psychological needs of the girl child. ARISE offers medical care to students, teaching and non-teaching staff at Queens College, Methodist Girls High School etc.

8. As part of their programme, ARISE has de-wormed Five Thousand pupils in Lagos State owned schools.

9. Through partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, ARISE have been able to train many women in various skills like, fashion designing, hat making, and soap making, hair dressing and so on.

10. Empowerment programme by providing tools that will encourage women in their businesses to grow. Tools like sewing machines, grinding machines, hair driers, cake mixers and deep freezers etc.

11.Donation of mosquito nets to women and children
Widows empowerment scheme

12. VVF treatment for 10 girls in partnership with Mercy ship

13. Equipping of 3 primary schools in Epe Local Government of Lagos State

14. In 2016, ARISE adopted Dafara Primary School in Dafara Village in Kuje LGA, Abuja, where boreholes have been provided, classrooms ‘furniture donated to the LEA primary schools and free medical care given to about 4000 residence. To build and equip the school ibrary.

15. Donation of hair salon equipment to Aisha - Arise baby's Mum.

16. The Medical Fair has been put together to create awareness and educate couples on Pregnancy and Maternal Health, life Style management for Natural Conception, the challenges with Fertility and healthy living amongst Families. We had presentations from various Groups and Hospitals who have partnered with us to make this day a success. They are: The Healing Stripes Hospital, The Heritage Group, The Bridge Clinic, Nordica fertility Centre, Access Bank, The Ark Medical Centre and Georges Memorial Medical Centre.

17. The spiritual and emotional needs of Women through the Handmaiden ‘BEHIND CLOSED DOORS”.

The HANDMAIDENS ANNUAL WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP SERIES, a platform where women are encouraged to take on high profile Leadership positions in their careers in line with scriptural principles and ensure we impact our homes, businesses and engage in nation building and governance. Also, help to mentor and guide other women who are coming up by organising workshops for professionals & skills acquisition to uplift the ordinary everyday woman. WILS at the highest level includes high profiled women i.e. chief executive officers (CEOs) of multinationals companies, vice CEOs, female government ministers, policy makers, women in various professions, bankers, lawyers, medical practitioners, entrepreneurs to mention but a few. She has also initiated the BORN TO INSPIRE AWARD; this is to inspire succeeding generations
