The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), has dismissed the mammoth crowd that attended the All Progressives Congress (APC), governorship rally at Onitsha yesterday. According to the Deputy National Chairman (South), of the party, Chief Uchenna Okogbue, the crowd were rented to give the impression that the party is on ground in Anambra State.

He said APC took advantage of the hardship it has inflicted on the masses to entice them to the rally.
According to him, over 90 per cent of the people at the campaign ground were there just because of what was given to them. Okogbue said come November 18, Governor Willie Obiano would win the election with a landslide. According to him, the people of Anambra State have made up their minds to vote massively for Gov. Obiano, adding that they are too sophisticated to be swayed by propaganda and cheap blackmail.
He said APC lies and propaganda cannot work in Anambra State. His words,

"APC has no foothold in Anambra State. They are simply non-existent. What you saw at Onitsha rally yesterday was a rented crowd. They spent fortune to hire crowd just to deceive the Vice President and the other people from Abuja that they have followers in Anambra State. But I want to assure you that over 90 per cent of the people at the rally will vote for Governor Willie Obiano. APC has nothing to tell the people of Anambra except bundle of lies.

What they have succeeded in doing in the last two years is to inflict Nigerians with hardship, sorrows and pains. Has the Buhari government constructed any road, bridge or even build a single room in Anambra State since it came to power over two years? Has it built a clinic or drill a borehole? So, what can they say that they have done for the people of Anambra State to warrant them to attend their rally except by financial inducement .This is a party that deceived the masses to win election and later denied their campaign promises .In the same vein, Anambra people also know that they would deny all that they said in Onitsha yesterday if they are voted for because that is their tradition. Denying campaign promises has become their stock in trade”

Okogbue advised Anamberians to disregard the crowd as well as the false promises at the Onitsha rally and vote for Governor Obiano who has demonstrated beyond every reasonable doubt through visible achievements in the last three and half years that he has the capacity to take the state to the next level

APGA forced civil servants to attend their rally plus a few hundred of their members that came. APCs own crowd rental is too glaring.

You don't understand the kind of hatred APC commands in Anambra even before Buhari came and escalated the anger.

In all, both parties (including PDP) are in for disappointment because nobody is coming out on November 18.
