Senator Dino Melaye who represents Kogi West Senatorial district yesterday went on his knees to beg his colleagues to save the people of Kogi state as they are currently in perilous times. He told his colleagues that civil servants in the state are being owed many months salaries.

He made reference to the director in the state civil service, Edward Soje, who was owed 11 months salary and recently committed suicide after his wife of 17 years welcomed a set of male triplets. Read here.

Dino also made reference to the viral video of an elder couple weeping over the loss of their child who required medical attention that they could not afford because the man is being owed many months salary. Read here.

Dino called for an intervention from President Buhari and his colleagues.

both him and Bello are the same though Dino is better somehow. Him and all the national assembly members should mobilize their constituents. This is the time they need to come together, protest, shutdown kogi state government house. Bello's head need to be formatted because he is so clueless and wicked. I dont think police will shoot the protesters if the kogi national assembly members join in the protest.
Nigerians need to rise up together and teach these monsters called Governors that enough is enough. One person can cook for a community and The community will finish the food but if the community cook for one person,there is no way the person will finish the food.

Beware of the clowns of kogi. A lot of theatrics but not much action. The typically where nice suits and answer titles like honorable and excellency. Why would NASS save Kogi like it's only state suffering or didn't receive Paris club refunds? It's all a show.

Kogi is a typical example of how a state or country would be if tribalism is d course of the day.. Kogi need to learn from Niger state which also has 3major tribes but still leave in peace, they should learn to accept the fact that a leader is good if he's good and also he's bad if he's bad.. state govt owing salaries is now the norms of d day and the only way to stay out of these is to vote in a leader with absolutely no political influence.. don't vote a leader with god father...

Problem of Kogi State has been long time coming.

In the early 90s, i met this Igala friend during one of my many trips to Ugwolawo.

In as much as I believe Sen. Melaye is a controversial being and that their is nothing different between him nd Kogi State governor Bello, I think he has raised a legitimate concern here.

We can't deny the fact that civil servants in Kogi are suffering and that they are being owed huge amount of money in salaries. The two case he also cited is real and we all know that and yet we are coursing the messenger.

Lets forget about the messenger here and hear the message and we can't deny that the message is real. FG has to intervene and fast.
