USA, France, To, China, Dubai etc are all abandoning oil and have already prepared for life after oil but here our government is spending money to explore oil where no atom of oil can even be found. The ones already explored have made no impact to the life of the common Man instead the proceeds end up inside the pockets of good individuals. Our roads are dead trapd, our airports are obsolete and objects of caricature and shame. Other countries are using speed trains, electric trains but our leaders only care about importing 1960 10th hand train That causes headache and pains courtesy of the noise pollution coming out from it.All the sectors of the economy are in shambles yet what they are interested in is wasting billions of naira to drill oil that we will soon be begging other nations to buy. We really lack leaders with foresight. All they are interested in is the present and not the future. 93 Likes 5 Shares

These guys are on wild goose chase. Why not go to places were we have data on. Benue trough and Ondo tar sand (at right price). A lot of these places never seen a study about oil potentially being there on OnePetro database. 12 Likes |

mgbadike81:yes diversifying and seeking other ways of healthy energy and fuel source is cool... but! ... Dont ever do things because others are doing... crowed mentality is Sicky and lame!!! intact when every body is walking south... its might be cool to stay calm! ... we can invest in other sources and explore our oil... bros what are you waiting for you think many of this innovations are government driving? Tesla? etc? there is still very large market for oil... Africa is quit large and many other countries... in the next 20years oil won't go totally useless.., we Dont have to sleep though 7 Likes 1 Share |

Coloradvantage:you're contradicting yourself just like buhari.the country is sinking deeper into debt because of these oil explorations and we can't diversify while heading towards the Greek debt like crises.an Igbo proverb says "you can't put two hands into the mouth at the same time". 33 Likes 1 Share |

They are not exploring oil, this is looting 101. They are syphoning funds through fake projects that won't end and will not have any economic importance. Forget the politics and look at the money trail, I am 1000percent certain that they don't care about oil but this is a big cash out program for those corrupt few including Mr President. 32 Likes 5 Shares |

Indeed,"we" are preparing for life after crude oil. By searching for more oil reserves. But on a serious note all these funds being wasted on these wild goose chase can be invested in other sectors with a view to revamping them so they can take the stress off the oil industry thereby freeing up the economy. The days of free petro-dollars are almost over. Too sad they can't see that. 2 Likes |

After years and years of talking of diversification,Nigeria has refused to grow up and take her mouth off her mother's breast which is oil. Billions of dollars have already been thrown away in Borno oil exploration, now they are have shifted to Nasarawa to continue wasting the commonwealth of the people. 1 Like |
