Tony Blair waged an extraordinary two-year battle to keep secret a lucrative deal with a multinational oil giant which has extensive interests in Iraq.
The former Prime Minister tried to keep the public in the dark over his dealings with South Korean oil firm UI Energy Corporation.
Mr Blair – who has made at least £20million since leaving Downing Street in June 2007 – also went to great efforts to keep hidden a £1million deal advising the ruling royal family in Iraq’s neighbour Kuwait.
In an unprecedented move, he persuaded the committee which vets the jobs of former ministers to keep details of both deals from the public for 20 months, claiming it was commercially sensitive. The deals emerged yesterday when the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments finally lost patience with Mr Blair and decided to ignore his objections and publish the details.

Talk about war on terror!! or is it war on oil? Over 1million iraqi men, women and children died since the invasion of iraq by US and UK forces. Nobody seems to be talking about it,maybe its because iraqi lives are of little or no significance. Nobody is talking about trying Tony blair and george bush for war crimes.

I just dont get it

Blair was forever coverting and courting the rich when he was in power. He's a Millionaire Socialist, he knew there were no weapons of mass destruction but he still took us to war, he's a calculating fool, he knew he was going to milk if if he went to war, now he's a Middle East Peace Envoy, whatever that means. God help us with these scum bags that would invade any country with oil but turned a blind eye to the people of Rwanda (genocide).

I always knew Blair and Bush are modern armed robbers.

The blood of Iraqi are in their hands.
