Facebook is trying to stop revenge porn by asking users to send their nude pictures and videos to enable them to block the images if they are later uploaded by someone else as revenge porn.

Recently, a trial of the feature in Australia reveals that people worried that their intimate pictures might be posted by an ex-partner. And for this reason, Facebook took bold steps to assist people not to fall a victim of revenge porn anymore.

The trial came up as a result of revenge porn cases increasing day by day in the UK, US and Canada to be precise.And a lot of people are already been victimized by revenge porn and this idea will be a welcome development for many facebook user.

According to the Telegraph, Facebook’s software would create a “hash” – a digital fingerprint of the photo – so that it can be recognized the next time it is uploaded and automatically blocked.
