I rili dnt know much about diagnostic test but I know. Its about the car computer processor, micro chips etc. So the question I have is,
1.has anyone ever run a diagnostic test on his car here?

2. how often should it be?

3.Without the car having any issue is their a point running a diagnostic test on it? Because the longest distance the car has gone is between Kaduna to ibadan around sept and also Ibadan to Enugu that same sept. And the final question,

4. Is their any reliable diagnostic center in Enugu or any nearest village to it and and estimated value of its cost

If any fault is detected after the scanning and it's left undone will that cause more damage to the scanned car?

You really need a specialist to answer this because their are lot of quacks out there who are ready to spoil your car all in the name of Diagnosing. Please be careful ... My Toyota Camry (Big Daddy) and me are once Victim , and we both suffer for it . Lol

Run scan on your car whenever you have the CHECK ENGINE light on.

There isnt any set times to run diagnotics on your car. You can run diagnostics on your car as much times as you want, it is like scanning your computer for viruses and malwares.

However ensure that you try to fix whatever the issues the diagnostics detects. Failure to do so might cause your car alot much damage.

Usually your diagnostics picks up both mechanical and electrical faults in your car. I have a personal diagnostic kit

I run mine twice in a month or when I feel the car isnt performing optimally.

well, first of all, diagnosis is not complicated at all. And it is not for micro-chips like you said. It is for any issues that may arise with your engine and transmission, even with such things as airbags and such. They are connected to the brain box, which ensures that all systems and sensors in ur car are working as it should. Whenever any of these systems/sensors fail (which they will, cos nothing is built to last forever), the brain box or ECU stored that problem as a code and turns on your check engine light. This light is not to be ignored, like most pple in these parts do. It could be something trivial, but it could as well be something really damaging. So the time you need to get your car scanned is when that check engine light is on or when there is a noticeable drop in performance (cos some naija used cars, have been messed with so much the check engine light doesnt come on anymore). That is what it was designed for, it is meant to alert you that something is amiss. So what that means for you is accurate diagnosis every time, and not damaging and expensive guesswork tactics that mecho's employ. My case is that the check light is always on, so the electrician disconnected it, and claimed he has rectified the problem, it was yet another Electricn that discovered what the previous one did, please Gazzuz and the likes what should I do, I'm going home with the car this Xmas

U made sense bro I will check it up on konga. Any special skill I need to operate it? And z dia anytin I might wanna know about the machine and how it works. M kinda a real novice and dz happen to be my first car. Barely 2 month old sef. I guess u were once like me and u know what it means and how one treats is first ride and dz one sef z a keep sake from someone very precious. I can't take chances at all

Its as easy as pluging a usb cable to your laptop, your car has a diagnostic connect point which is usually situated under your steering wheel and sometimes situated in the passenger side under your pigeon hole.

You just need to locate it depending on your car type and connect the connector which comes with a cable.

After connection you put your ignotion on, start the scanner and it automatically starts to scan your car. Its that simple. It outlines possible errors like Oxygen Sensor 1, Oxygen Sensor 2 and so on, but if your car has no issues no errors will be detected.

The kit comes in different specs, and prices, from as low as 50k to as high as 300k depending on what diagnostics you want to run.
