How many cylinders do Golfs normally have, what is the major difference between USA specs Golf and Europe, if any.

The decimals represent the engine size of the Golf. Eg 1.6 Litre, 1.8 Litre, 2.0 litre,  Golfs are the world's most successful selling hatchbacks, and have been manufactured worldwide accoss six generations. They only come in 4, 5 and 6 cylinders, 

Golf had more successful salesin Europe than the US,  In Europe you get a lot more Engine variations,  as opposed to the US.

We sell it, we love it, we drive it.  But this thread is solely dedicated to European originated cars.
