I can see that a certain questionable character is here again promoting his whatsapp group just as he was doing in other thread and people don't report him.

Whatsapp group is ant-traffic and a thread killer.

Its a selfish idea that only benefits few people.

OK. Noted @Justwise

I have problem with anybody trying to use this section for anything other than to help each other without ulterior motive. He has used 2-3 different IDs to spam this section promoting whatsapp group and i will make sure that his effort will have close to zero success.

I quite understand your point but may I point out , that the group was formed after several attempts to have a PNP driven thread was unsuccessful. Now that you have granted us permission, hopefully others will come and post their queries here. cheesy

Following @stealth02's post, the new Manitoba PNP updates, the recent drop in CRS for ITA (439), research shows that the following PNPs are in high demand now

1.) PEI - requires an EE profile number. Complete the EOI form and send. Await response from PEI.
2.) Saskatchewan
3.) Nova Scotia
4) Manitoba
5) New Brunswick ( having an information session in Cameroun on 25th November 2017)

It would be good if people come and give their experience, current status on PNP application, discuss the process for those who have completed, provide an idea of actual duration of process versus theory, etc.

Well done TEECANN, and everyone else for this thread

TEECANN:
Finally we have agitated for and received approval from our dear supermod @Justwise, for the creation of our own thread specifically to address issues emanating from our applications to the the different PNP programs in Canada.

Here we can get direct and pointed suggestions and answers to our enquiries, speculate what the VO in Manitoba ate for lunch that informed his granting of 5 nominations, Argue on whether the Immigration Officers in Saskatchewan work on Saturdays and Sundays or not. grin grin grin

Just kidding...I hope we all enter here and help each other hit nominations of the different provinces that we have applied to or that we are intending to apply to and graduate into the Canadian Express Entry thread to continue our post-ITA journeys.

NB:
Pls no in e-fighting, unhealthy competitions, spam posts and all.

THIS IS STRICTLY A CANADIAN PNP THREAD...NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS. If you need info on Federal Skilled Workers Program or Express Entry, kindly go here:

Lets by matured (after all we are here in the first place because reduction in our "Age" points has damaged our CRS scores. cheesy grin) Let's make it work as one big and helpful family. cheesy

My advice has always been if you have 435 and above. ..be patient...you can't be in the pool for a year and ITA benchmark won't come down that low...it amazes me when people chase provincial nomination with an already existing CRS of 435...for what na?

BTW, provincial route to clinching ITA is an expensive route...I look at those singles inside the Canadian EE thread hammering ITA with 460 points within weeks of opening their profile and landing PPR within 3 months. They don't have an idea at all. cheesy cheesy what people pass tru through the provincial route before coming to get the ITA that they got within weeks of finishing their IELTS...some are even yet to understand the procedure properly and PPR is already falling on them. grin cheesy

IT will all end in praise! IJN

PNPs THAT DO NOT REQUIRE JOB OFFER AS A CONDITION FOR APPLICATION

Find below an overview and summary of application costs for PNPs that DO NOT require a job offer. However most of them have target occupation lists but generally in the NOC 0, A or B categories similar to the Federal requirement

- SK $300 (saskatchewan has an In-Demand Occupation list and Provincial Express Entry subcategory route)
- NB $250 (New Brunswick is currently targeting occupations in IT AND applicants must show connections to NB by attending an information session or studied in NB)
- PE $300 (Prince Edward Island has no specific target occupation list)
- MB $500 (Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas have no specific target occupation list BUT applicants must show social ties - have family, friend or studied in Manitoba or attended an information session)
- ON $1500 (Ontario EE Human Capital Priority Stream has no target occupation list but applicant must have CRS of 400 or more to be invited)
-NS No application fees (Nova Scotia Demand EE Stream- Category 2 has a target occupation list)

Also be aware that some of the various programs are selective about certain ECA assessments that they accept. In addition to sending your ECA to IRCC you will also be required to inform your assessing body to send a copy of your assessment directly to the pnp program once you receive their ITA/NOI otherwise this may delay your application for provincial nomination

- SK/PE/MB/ON/NS accept all IRCC designated ECAs (CES,ICAS,WES,IQAS,ICES,MCC,PEBC)
- NB accepts only CES, ICAS, WES, MCC and PEBC

The current processing time for PNPs on the CIC website is stated as 6 months (same as Federal Skilled Workers [FSW] Program). However there's no hard and fast rule for how long it takes to receive a provincial nomination once you submit your Expression of Interest - obviously this would vary from one province to another.

Note that the various programs have different PoF amount requirements some are even lower than CIC's but applicants would ultimately be required to show funds that comply with the Federal scheme when submitting to CIC for their PPRs.

Generally, PNPs have a residency requirement that the applicant intends to live and work in that particular province. However it's still being argued that the 2 years residency is not mandatory. Take New Brunswick (NB) for example which requires applicants to sign form NBNP006 'Declaration of Commitment to New Brunswick' but doesn't clearly specify how long you are required to live in NB after showing yourself to the NBNP program officer within 30 days of your arrival in Canada.

Section 6(2) of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms states that a Canadian Permanent Resident can move anywhere within the country.

Section 6(2)
Every citizen of Canada and every person who has the status of a permanent resident of Canada has the right:
a) to move to and take up residence in any province; and
b) to pursue the gaining of a livelihood in any province.

I think you will do good to check up Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Programme- (SINP).

Their requirement in IELTS is not as high as that of other provinces. Check the link below and peruse it well, you can monitor the opening of SINP on their website and on this thread, it most often closes within 24-48 hours because lots of people will likely be applying same time from all over the world (Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Chinese, and of course us, Naija) However you would have uploaded all your docs prior to the program's opening, then click 'Submit' as soon as the application opens, (I'll urge you to upload ALL DOCS unto the portal [OASIS] before the opening date and keep doublechecking for errors in the scanned and uploaded documents and omitted documents inside the appropriate placeholders in the OASIS portal before the d-day).

Note that the amount they require to be in your bank statement has to have been there 3months prior to application, so, go and prepare that as well and upload it.

Please ensure that you check the application guide continuously to ensure your occupation or that of wife will be among those they want people for, it's usually towards the last page of the application guide.

Great job you are doing here. Please can one use gift deed for POF with PNP. Thanks

Check below the information as gotten from SINP website directly:

Settlement Funds and Settlement Plans

Settlement Plan

You need to attach a settlement plan to your application. You must use the IRCC Living In Canada tool to create your settlement plan.

The Living in Canada tool is intended for general guidance and reference only. The answers you provide will be used to provide you with resources and services that can help you plan for residency in Saskatchewan. If you are living outside of Canada, to use the Living in Canada tool to create a settlement plan, you must select “No, I applied but am still waiting” when asked “Has IRCC approved your application to come to Canada?

After you answer the questions, the Living in Canada Tool will create “Your settlement plan”. You can print or email the plan to yourself from that page in order to attach it to your application.

Settlement Funds

You must submit proof that you have funds that will support your household during your employment search after you arrive. The minimum amount required for your application is based on the size of your family, as listed in the table below.

Number of Persons in Household Funds Required (in Canadian dollars)
One person $12,164
Two people $15,143
Three people $18,617
Four people $22,603
Five people $25,636
Six people $28,913
Seven people $32,191

Proof of funds must be attached to your application. They must:

*be official letters, official statements, and/or certificates from one or more financial institutions.
*have been maintained at least 3 months prior to submitting your application and maintained throughout the entire immigration process.
*be in the name of the principal applicant and/or spouse only.

Fund statements must show a detailed transaction history for at least three months before the date your SINP application is submitted and must include the type of currency, fund holder’s name, contact information of the financial institution, account numbers, transactions and balances.

All documents not issued in English or French must be accompanied by a certified translation.

To determine whether settlement funds are sufficient, the account must show that when the account was at its lowest amount, it met the settlement requirement for the size of the household.

The following funds will be accepted:

Personal chequing or savings accounts
Bonds
Cash value life insurance
Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GICs) or Certificates of Deposit
Mutual Funds
Provident Funds (an official letter from the provident fund organization indicating the amount of funds that are accessible is required)
Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs)
Stocks
Tax Free Savings Accounts (TFSAs)
Term deposits and time deposits (must be valid at the time of application and remain valid throughout the entire application process)
Treasury Bills

Debentures, credit cards, lines of credit, gold, cash, property or businesses are not accepted as settlement funds

Nice one TEECANN.

I am sure the info here will go a long way in lighting anyone's path whose hope had hitherto been dashed due to low CRS score. However, quality time has to be invested on perusing the information contained herein.

Information is power. If I had the information I have now in 2015, I am sure I would have landed in Canada by now. Alas, I am just about to commence the process, may all our dreams come to pass IJN.

Good evening house.

Please i would like the elders to help shed some light on the issue of proffession.

For those of us who have experience in more than one proffession how does it work claiming points.

for instance i have spent a four years as a construction safety officer which i still do partime.( consulting pp)and later got a job as a marketer and have 3years experience nd i just found that ***Professional occupations in advertising, marketing and public relations*** is one of SINP occupation in demand

Which i think is related to my job description as a marketer.

Please i would like to know if trasitioning from one career path to another wouldnt raise questions from VO and i would like to know if i can actually go ahead with applying to sinp. (If its still in the list next year.)
How can one get information on when provincial nominations opens? Especially saskachewan.

Thirdly can one apply to more than one province .if yes can one use diffrent proffession .

Thank you.

Good you re populating your SINP's OASIS portal down now for an eventual opening submission in the coming months...Note: Take great care to populate all the placeholders (go through Saskatchewan's official website to know the specific requirements)

Taking about which is better and cheaper to settle down in between Saskatoon and Regina...honestly I can't answer that for you because you situation most likely is different from mine...

I know of people who chose Saskatoon basically because they had friends already residing there.

Your occupation, social interests, accomodation cost and proximity to "bedroom suburbs" etc will likely inform your decision to chose either saskatoon or regina.

Try to do some search and view YouTube videos on these cities and I'm sure you will be just be fine is any of the towns that you decide to reside in.

On the issue of your multiple occupations, I'm yet to get a grip on the complexities of this NOC thing and the rules applicable to it as I don't have a situation similar that would have warranted my deep research into it.

However, nothing stops you from applying to 1 or 2 provincial programs as you may just refuse one in the event of being granted nominations by the two provinces.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO CORRECT ERRORS ON FORMS SUBMITTED TO THE SINP (POST-APPLICATION SUBMISSION)

Take great care to eliminate all errors on forms and when filling the SINP's OASIS portal prior to the submission of the application and endeavor not to OMIT ANY FORM OR INFORMATION required to populate any of the portal's placeholders.

(Reason: If any document is omitted, the application will be returned and your application, time and money will vaamooss into the thin air just like that- I dont like that feeling, I'm sure you don't too grin grin)

However, if after submitting your application and you still notice errors on some of your forms (we are all humans, aint we? grin grin ), Follow the steps below to get your corrected forms across to the Program (SINP). The earlier you submit the corrected form(s) post-application submission, the better (I cant say whether they will entertain the re-submitted corrected forms after your file has been picked to be worked on or not i.e if your status has entered IN PROCESS)

1. Just correct the error on the affected form.

2. Scan and attach the corrected form(s) to their email to their documents collection email (check Sask's website for the correct email address)

3. Write a nice letter of explanation in the body of the email explaining the error or oversight.

NOTE: This corrected form will not reflect on your OASIS portal placeholder but will be kept in your application file with them for use when your application processing enters "IP" (In Process) status.

CAVEAT: THIS IS JUST MY SUGGESTION ON HOW TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE, NOT SINP'S OFFICIAL POLICY

Changing profession is not a problem provided you have worked in the profession you want to use in the required number of years within the stipulated years.

e g if you have worked two years in the profession in the last five years.

NB: This is just an example, check the specific requirement for the program you want to apply for.

Thanks @ justwise, TEECANN

I pray we make progress.

My issues.....

I couldn't meet up the the Sask PNP cos of the Job in demand, mine is 1111 and the one closest to it was 1112 I think.

Cost of Ontario PNP is on the high side but I've got a sibling staying there, my CRS score isn't up to 400 anyway and I heard you've got to have 400 and above to get nominated, but I've just registered for the 3rd and last ielts by the grace of God.

I sat down with the last Nova Scotia PNP from morning till night but i couldn't go past page 2

Just to add, I have sent my eoi to NB along with my cv

Please what else should I do? Please help me oooooooooooo.

Its as if even the PNP route for me isn't smiling at all.
We will get there.

Thanks for this thread Op. My crs is 425 and considering trying SINP but I'm being advised to wait till early 2018 to see if the crs will come down. I pray and hope it does. We'll get there with faith and persistence.

ALTERNATIVE TO EMPLOYER'S STANDARD REFERENCE LETTER- FOR THOSE WITH UNCOOPERATIVE EMPLOYERS grin grin

I am dropping this here because of several recent requests for support in this area of reference letter and also the early morning and late night calls from some friends who have not done it right...fear of CIC calling or emailing their HR and the worse part, I'm being made to suffer the anxiety and fear of CIC along with these folks and I just have to do some nerve-calming small talks in those early morning and late night calls grin grin)

There are instances where employers may not give reference letters in the standard format (research what the standard format should contain- It is very important!!!) desired for immigration purposes or in other circumstances where the employers are bureaucratic or just plain rigid.

DO NOT FAKE THE REFERENCE LETTER ON THE COMPANY'S LETTERHEAD...DO NOT CUT CORNERS (It will give you sleepless nights grin)

Canadian immigration authorities are aware that situations like this may occur and have magnanimously made allowance for an alternative way to surmount the issue.

There is a format that can be amended to suit your situation. Try to find it out or ask experts in the house (Add and delete whatever is necessary SMARTLY to suit your situation). Note the last part of the letter containing the Declaration and portion to be signed and stamped by the Notary Public or Commissioner of Oaths. Don't forget to add all the necessary attachments mentioned in the body of the declaration letter.

It will all end in praise IJN!
