Good day my fellow NLders.
Potential vegetable farmers in the house, this is right time for the preparation of dry season farming. I did it last year and I will do it once again this year/next year. The space available is one hectare plus.
The crops are okra and green vegetables only.
The source of water is stream
Rain guns sprinklers and 2 set of 3" pumping machine.
Farm location is Oturu in Delta state.
Market is Onitsha

Irrigation and mechanised farming is the only way to sustainable farming....
As of today, feed mill companies import maize and soybean into the country because there demands are not being met.

There is a river bordering the place I am about to use. So no need for boreholeor geophysical investigations on my own side.

Wow that's cool. The best for any farmer is to have a river that isn't seasonal that can can tapped. You don't have to spend unnecessarily on borehole
