Mugabe ruled Zimbabwe for 37 years, in his 37 years Nigeria had Shagari, Buhari, Babangida, shonekan, Abacha, Abdulsalam, Obasanjo, Yar'Adua, Jonathan, Buhari. Mugabe gave his country 24 hrs power supply but our 9 presidents could not give us power supply. Mugabe did not borrow ( na who go even borrow am money ) but we borrow despite resources but still no light. If other counties are celebrating the fall of Mugabe, ki se bi ti Nigeria. People who speak down on education.... have you seen what education has done to Zimbabweans?

No car burnt, No house burnt, No buildings destroyed and no life lost (in short they were also praying and shouting fire... without tender... no reports on violence and fires)

AND YET THEY HAVE REMOVED A PRESIDENT FROM OFFICE .

I totally understand why they say these are the most educated people in Africa . The effect of their education shows . It may not make everyone a millionaire or rich but it certainly produces rich minds.

We need to learn from Zimbabweans.
No military in human history has managed to ensure the facilitation of the removal of an incumbent President without any spill of blood, whilst respecting all democratic processes and institutions. General Constantino Chiwenga, the man at the helm of this operation, holds the following qualifications:

1. B.Sc Defense and Security Studies, University of Zimbabwe;

2. M.Sc Security Studies, Oxford University; and

3. P.hD Cyber Security, UNISA.

This demonstrates that when you have educated and experienced people in critical positions, they can manage chaos better than uneducated cadres.

The only lesson I see here is in the post itself. Nigerians need to learn that in comparison to the rest of Africa, Nigerians know nothing about Pride and Arrogance. Africans when trying to compare themselves to Nigeria boast about the littlest things and Nigerians with far better can't even open mouth. For instance, the very Africans that will call Nigerians cowards for not overthrowing the system, even though Nigeria is a hotbed of political unrest, civil unrest, upheavals and whatnot, will be the same ones boasting that Zimbabwe has experienced a bloodless change of government unlike babaric Nigeria. And here we have, in this instance, Nigerians that should be commended for never allowing any leader to lord it over them for long, which is why we have had so many leaders since independence from Britain and now a functioning Democracy, is being compared unfavourably to Zimbabwe that was ruled for so long by one dictator! shocked

I suspected it but never really understood how backward the rest of black Africa could be until Naiaraland. The way they try to twist things as if people are as stupid as they are and are blind to the obvious hypocrisy.. angry

This is how one Nigerian, in exasperation at a Kenyan's total praise of Kenya, explained that Nigerians have a healthy sence of self criticism, and the Kenyan responded with something like, ' it's no big deal, Nigerians should criticise themselves, because Nigeria is no good'. and this in the background of political unraveling in Kenya.

Reeling out the pros without the cons may look deceptive. Be that as it may, I pray that after the groundwork that is ongoing in the polity now, the next regime should focus on Streamlining the ease of doing business and electric power .
This is a journey...its becoming too far.
