I did my medicals at Q-LIFE FAMILY CLINIC. Kindly find below what the medical process entails.

You will need the following: A passport photograph (with white background), your international passport and your ATM card (to pay via POS).

STAGES

- You will need to book an appointment.

- On the D-day, meet the receptionist and tell her that you want to do medicals for Canadian PR.

- You will be asked to write your name and passport number at the back of your passport photograph (white background).

- Submit the passport photograph with your international passport.

- Sit in the waiting room and wait to be called.

- When they call your name, you will be given a small container to take your urine sample and then drop in a room.

- You will be given a sheet of paper to write your home address and phone number.

- You will be given a form and asked to sign and write date.

- You will be given the medical form (the one you will upload). You will be asked to cross-check your details to make sure they are correct.

- After this, the next thing is to pay. You will pay using POS (N28K for adult, N20K for each child below 5 years while children between the age of 5 years and 10 years are charged N22K).

- You will be given a form and three tallies and directed to a room where you will do your X-ray (you will be instructed not to write anything on the form). The first tally is for X-ray, the second one is for blood samples while the third one is for medicals (height, blood pressure and co)

- After the X-ray, you will go to a room where they will take your blood samples.

- After that, wait to be called again.

- Next stage is where they will call the number written on your tally. This stage is where they will check your height, weight, blood pressure, temperature and you will do eye test too. Same if you have a child.

- Then you will wait to be called for the last stage.

- The last stage is when you will see the doctor. You will go upstairs (within the same building) to the consulting room to see a doctor. The doctor will ask about your past medical history.

- Lastly, you will drop the form where your details/results (height, weight, blood pressure and temperature) were being recorded with the receptionist.

- That is the end of the medicals.

Congratulations to everyone who aced their ielts. I tap into your grace come 10th Feb. @Mcstan18, I am rooting for you and i pray your next ielts will be your last.

So I have a post ITA question. My hubby misplaced his previous passports and cannot remember his entire travel history. How do we go about it? some of the tickets were bought from ticketing offices so we don't have any history on his email. I have been really worried and I am praying it doesn't become a problem when the time comes. Has anyone been in our shoes?

Congratulations in advance. You are good to go. You do not need to rewrite IELTS. Your ITA in the next draw is so certain all things been equal.

Good evening guys. I have a question that has been bothering me. My wife has 8, 9, 8.5, 8 in LRWS while I have 7.5,8.5,7.5,7.5 in LRWS. She's the PA. The CRS score 472. Since I'm not the PA, do I need to rewrite IELTS considering the fact that I am not the PA and our CRS is okay? Please, enlighten me.

Good evening,

I would like to confirm if Vet doctors can use WES for their ECA. I checked IRCC and WES website, and the only people exempted from using services like WES are Physician/Specialist Physician (NOC 3111 or 3112) and Pharmacist (NOC 3131).

Is this correct thank you.

Hello people. I'm about to start this EE process but I have some questions on my mind that I would need your help with.

The first one is that I studied in the UK for my masters between 2013-2014 and during the course of my study I had to do a background check for work. My question is that can I still use it now as my police report?

The second one is that I am single now but I'll be getting married later this year by God's grace and I'm really interested in getting my PR now but my fiance is not so keen on it. Is it possible to get my PR and then file for him when we get married? Thanks for your anticipated response
To answer your first question, what you did for your work is like the CRB. It's different from PCC. You have to get a UK PCC.

So no, you can't use CRB for PCC.

I might be wrong but I believe those PCCs are only valid for 6 months.

As regards your Fiance, I recommend you start the process and use your fiance as Dependent. You'll have to do all the work, but as long as they are willing to give you documents, do medicals, Police report and take passport when the time comes, they don't have to lift a finger. Whether your fiance will agree to follow you to Canada when the time comes however...............

This is wrong. One, she can't use what she has as it is not a PCC. It's a criminal record/background check that some jobs require in the UK. Those are CRBs not PCCs.
Two, she can't add someone she's not married to as a dependent. Her best bet is start the process as a singleton, get ITA and AOR, then marry the bros and add him on your application. You'll have to show POF for two, his Medicals and PCCs of countries where necessary.

Do you have the work permit? If yes, how you take get am? Seeing that Nigeria is not even eligible for that from Nigeria. Hope agent no sell you story oh? grin
I suggest you forget that work permit dream and read page 0 of this thread to understand how you can immigrate to Canada as a PR...which is even better than the work permit deal you're being offered. That doesn't exist by the way.

First thing you need to know is if you are eligible for Express Entry - Federal Skilled Worker.

Visit the CIC website and to understand more about the Express Entry system. An excerpt from the page below:

Express Entry manages applications for three of our key economic immigration programs:

Federal Skilled Worker Program
Federal Skilled Trades Program
Canadian Experience Class
If you’re eligible to immigrate under one of these federal immigration programs:

we’ll place you in a pool with others who are also eligible
we’ll rank you and the others using several factors
if you’re a top candidate, you’ll get an Invitation to Apply to a specific program
if we invite you to apply, you can apply online for permanent residence

Find out what your score could be here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

Once you determine that you can get a reasonable score, go to the British council website and register for the IELTS, also start your ECA (Education Credential Assessment). You have a choice of agencies to choose from. Once you have these two, jump into the pool and wait for ITA.

On the real though someone can't explain the process for you in one post. You will have to read the CIC website and this thread to understand the process fully so you don't make mistakes along the way. All the best.

Hello all! Good evening!

Please as regards travel history. What are the likely documents they request for if you declare visa refusals?

I had been refused a UK (4years ago) and US visa a while ago, but I only have supporting documents for the refusal of the UK one not the US one.

Plus I was traditionally married at the time of the US refusal(not long ago) and I stated that I was married in the process. But i started my EE process as a single lady and have now received ITA, but I haven’t done my white or court wedding yet.

What are the likely challenges I might face please.

Do I just include both refusals?

Thank you.

I changed my passport between EE Profile and PR Application as the old passport was going to expire before the PR application could be completed. I used my old passport to start the EE application, then got a new passport and when I got ITA, I used the new one. I just explained the change in my LOE and had no issues. At least its been approved now. Like I explained earlier, even my wife used two different passports. One with maiden name for EE and one with married name after ITA. We never got any ADR for that.

Just explain in your LOE and attach scanned copies of both passports as your travel documents. Plus note that new passport has a row showing the Old passport number

Thank you very much

Thank you for the reply.

WES evaluated her Masters without the certificate from us. Unilag sent transcript & since we did not have a statement nor certificate, they went ahead to finalise the report. It was minuted in the report that certificate not recieved. We evaluated both her 1st degree & Masters as a single evaluation unknowingly.

I am considering declining the ITA so I can re-edit the profile & put her Masters in HISTORY so I dont have to present documents for it. So will only quote her 1st degree, My crs points will drop by 2 points from 453 to 451 since she is not the PA. Though this reduction is still above the 446 ITA cut off.
I am just scared of post-ITA edits & dont want to be cut up with misrepresentation on this Certificate issue, hence sacrificing re-entering the pool with 451 points.

Please let me know. Am I making the best decision? Is there any other way out to salvage this situation?

Bsbabe:

What document did you submit to WES for the Masters’ evaluation? You must have given them a statement if result if you didn’t have a Certificate I assume? That’s the same document you should submit to IRCC along with the WES evaluation as proof of education in my opinion.

"Changes to your personal situation: If your situation (or that of your spouse or partner) changes, you should try to re-calculate your points/score before you decide to apply for permanent residence. If your new score is lower than the minimum points/score in the round of invitation from which you were invited to apply, you should consider declining this invitation to apply. You should also consider declining this invitation to apply if you no longer meet the minimum criteria for Express Entry" (Culled from the ITA letter)

You are good to go since your score after recalculating is higher than the minimum score for your round of invitation. Don't decline your invitation. You can use the LOE to your advantage to explain if that will put your mind at rest. Though, without the LOE, I still believe that you are good to go.

Hello House.

I have been on NA2 ADNR since November'17.

My wife gave birth (in America) last week.

In including my son to the application would i need to have him do a medical test? Also, i paid upfront how do I top up the payment.

Thanks

Will make the edit & attach a LOE. My question is that- should the LOE be with documents of each edited section or all LOE should be placed with LOE column of attachment?

On another issue, that means I have advised someone wrongly because I have a colleague who made a mistake in dates of employment for the required NOC. I actually told him to decline ITA & put the correct date. He updated 7years for the NOC instead of 4years, he now wants to edit it Post-ITA. My fear fear mind advised against it. With this your reply, does it mean he is good to go since the edit is still above the 3years experience required?

1. There is a section for LOE. You can upload it there.

2. It depends. The person should add up his score to make sure that he will still be eligible using the four years work experience. He is good to go if the score is at least 67 points using the four years work experience. CRS score is different from points for eligibility.

Congratulations to all those that aced their IELTS and to those that got PPR. May your journey be smooth from here on.

To all those that didn't get their desired results with IELTS, it is just a stepping stone. Evaluate your weakness, practise as much as you can, be confident and go ace the results.

This is a fantastic timeline of faith and perseverance. I tap into it in Jesus name. Your 5 months wait until ITA humbled me. That is a month shy of half a year! It hits close to home cos my estimated CRS score is a little close to yours. So even though I aced ielts at first attempt, I have changed my name to Patience on this journey.
I want to encourage everyone who didn't make ielts this time to chin up. Your race is different from the next man's race. Dont envy any man. Don't be down cast for too long and forget your goal. Run your own race diligently. Some people re-writing ielts will jump into that pool and land ITA the following week while others are patiently waiting for scores to crash.

So put a smile on your face. Dust those books again. Practice harder again and come back with testimony. Have a good weekend everyone

I am all too familiar with the bolded. It will all definitely end in praise. Sometimes, I feel like I can identify with job. Lol
