Role Objective: The Fundraising Manager will provide assistance to the management of the
organization in raising funds, identifying grants/donor opportunities, and writing proposals
to support the group-wide social impact programmes and events geared towards long term
organisational sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
 Lead, organize and/or provide assistance in organizing any fundraising events for
the organization
 Assist the organisation in developing business plans to generate income from
various sources.
 Assist in writing concept notes, project ideas and project proposals and ensure their
timely execution
 Conduct research on donors/grants agencies to support the organisation

JOB SUMMARY: The Research Manager is responsible for the management and coordination
of internal and external research work and projects across the group and for giving
specialist guidance and advice to the business. The job holder will collate and analyse data

Job Context and Scope
The jobholder will work closely with the Business Managers, Product Development and
Services teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
 Monitor and analyse business performance through a range of measures, internal and

 IT Department in relation to interrogating internal data not accessible through reporting

External
 Market research agencies in relation to research projects
 Customers in relation to focus groups and other forms of primary research
Nature and range of impact
 Major research projects are agreed on an annual basis as part of the corporate planning
cycle. There is also a need to run some research at relatively short notice in support of
business needs as they arise.
 Most projects commissioned will provide significant data to the organisation, sometimes
contributing to decisions at a senior level on whether or not to proceed with investment
in a new market or product.
 Regular data on product performance provided is used to monitor the performance of
the business.
 Allocation, review and approval of work
Job Requirements:
 Master’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, International Development, Public Policy or
related field, from a reputable institution
 Minimum of five years’ relevant work experience, including three years’ experience in
conducting research
 Experience in desk research, handling a variety of information sources and producing
relevant reports
 Proven ability to synthesise implications and identify market opportunities from data
 Experience in statistical analysis using software such as SPSS, Stata, etc

 Create and/or implement mentoring program for resident entrepreneurs.
 Assist in identifying topics and instructors to deliver workshops, boot camps, and a
variety of related events.
 Identify and maintain directory of trusted providers of professional services to start-ups.
 Induct new entrepreneurs; create Incubation plans and implement them, assist in writing
business plans, keep track of the Incubation process; help the start-ups prepare

 Prepare all required reports and maintain a comprehensive set of records on all tenant

Requirements:
 Successful candidates will possess a BA/BS or MA/MS in a relevant technology or
business discipline.
 Minimum of 7 years of work experience in working with developers and/or start-ups
 Passionate about growing start-up ecosystem in Nigeria
 Evidence of strong organizational, networking and communication skills
 Demonstrated ability to network within the business community
 Ability to work with diverse groups including businesses, entrepreneurs, major
