The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said yesterday that it will not give ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar automatic ticket to contest for the presidency, saying he has to follow all the laid down procedures to win the ticket.

Chairman of the PDP National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, said the party did not at any time adopt any concession plan on automatic ticket for Atiku at the detriment of other contenders.

Makarfi, who stated this at the inauguration of PDP National Convention Planning Committee, headed by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, ‎yesterday, in Abuja, said the ex-VP never asked for any concession from the caretaker committee prior to his return to the party on Sunday.

“PDP did not extend any special concession to Atiku and the party will not extend any special concession to any other person.

“Atiku never asked that we concede anything to him and we never gave him anything. The party members reserve the right to give mandate to anyone they wish to give their mandate to,” he said.

He expressed satisfaction with Tuesday’s judgement of the Court of Appeal, sitting in Ado Ekiti, which nullified the judgement of a High Court that would have affected the conduct of the December 9 national convention.

The Chairman of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), Senator Walid Jibrin, said the board had no anointed aspirant for the office of national chairman and urged party members to desist from acts capable of jeopardising the convention.

Atiku may lose the presidential ticket under PDP He abandoned the party which helped hurricane severely wounded the umbrella. His departure was a great los, His campaign against the party he moulded that returned so much to him is a heartless sabotage. I strongly doubt his success unless the wonders money can do. I wish him well.

To think Atiku can win Buhari in the north is just dat dreaming

Anyone who has been to the north knows the cult following of Buhari

Buhari would win more votes in the south east , n south south won't vote that much

Middle belt Atiku would win more votes than gej did but that would be less than what Buhari would get in the south east and south south

West would remain same or go in favor of apc (ondo and maybe ekiti would be in apc control )

So I would say as things stand Buhari would win by 4m -6m votes

But from now till 2019 a lot can change

But honestly if pdp was serious a Ribadu candidate would have ended Buhari reign in aso Rock without stress

He got everything Buhari offers and is more moldern , by far younger and by far more accepted in the south

What do I know
