You know, sentiments apart.. Messi deserves that award.

if Ballon d'or truly represents individual brilliance, then its should be a home run for Messi.

On most sports sites, the Polls pulled from viewers and the online sports community voted Messi more.

One thing I do know for sure! Messi is the greatest ever and by the time Both Messi and Ronaldo hang their boots, the world would know this!

Bleep ballon d'or, ,,,individual achievement should play a vital role in criteria for choosing the ballon d'or winner and not winning the champions league which is the whole team work.. Messi deserve this awards,, A real football fan knows Messi owns the game but he is unlucky with the players Barça has presently, ,,who cares about ballon d'or?? He is still the greatest of all time whether he wins it or not,,
Messi we know, Messi we love.
barkadogs are pained.

Individual performance of Leo is limited to Barcelona
Ronaldo performed both at club and country level

Its funny how messi worshipers say 'football is not all about goals', 'ronaldo is just a goal scorer' but still say messi deserves the award based on his number of goals. They forgot that those goals won him just one trophy while ronaldo's goal won him 4 trophies. Sometimes people just have to look beyond fanboyism and be objective for once

Dembele is far better than Ansesio..

Won't Dembele be rate higher than Ansensio if he was in Madrid?
So Barca is a baby's team now and not for real men cheesy who choose Madrid.

Out of these transfers Neymar, Mbappe, Pogba, Bale, Ronaldo

Dumbelle is the most stupid of them, even in Fifa 18 Asensio is in first 100. Where was Dumbelle?

Is not like he is even marketable or was a celeb. MTCHEEEEW

If Ballon D'or is given to the best player in the world then there's no way Leo Messi shouldn't had won it from 2008 to present. It shouldn't even be a contest in any way, shape, or form. These days, all these awards have become a popularity contest and it doesn't even have meaning any more. Think about it, unlike in the past, most people are not even aware that Ballon D'or is being awarded today neither do they care! This is because Real Madrid and the fake Ronaldo has damaged the awards and their credibility with their politics.

Coming to facts u should know that all through 2017... messi was the backbone in a very disassembled Angentina sketectal framework and he helped in taking the team to the World Cup

Dembele has only played 3 matches for Barca. I was comparing him with reference to his stay at Dortmund.

Are u for real?

Who's struggling between the both of them this season. How do u think Madrid found themselves trailing Barca with 8 points; is it not bcoz Ronaldo only has 2 goals to his name in laliga?

But stats only count for so much. What really counts is how you perform in the biggest of moments and, in 2017, nobody has come close to touching Real Madrid's Ronaldo in that regard.

The individual statistics can tell a lot about their performances as players over the past 12 months, but just as much can be learned from the achievements of their teams in the past year. Clearly, at club level, Ronaldo has had the edge in 2017, helping Real Madrid to become the first team to win back-to-back Champions League titles with two goals in the final victory over Juventus. Los Blancos also lifted La Liga, and the Supercopa de Espana, leaving Barcelona and Messi with just the Copa del Rey to their name in 2016-17.

Pele pulled the greatest scam on every football lover alive and sadly, no one thought about it. For someone who compulsorily counted games he played for the Sixth Coast Guard in the military competition. No one bothered to note that his official goals was just about 700+
