Please guys I need your help..am scheduled for an interview the role is for an account officer in a microfinance bank...is there anyone in the house that will care to educate me on their duties and is there any difference between a loan officer and an account officer in a microfinance bank?

And also the kind of questions I should be expecting, the area I should focus on etc

While no different between the two just the name they want to use, some use relationship manager or credit officer etc. For the question nothing much just know the basis of credit,PAR,loan monitoring etc

Since you don't have exoexperience in the lending business, they can't hang you in the interview for not knowing much about it but the main thing you should know is about marketing and sales.
An account officer combines savings target with loan mobilisation.

that's the killer in lending. its a measure of how healthy your portfolio is: the higher the par, the more closer you are to the exit door as an account officer/loan officer or micro lending institution.

it depends on the standard of the institution...unit,state or national but it should start from 50k upward basic and 10k upward incentive.

U have said it all.. For a credit or loan officer, getting clients and disburisng loan is their main priority as well as PAR monitoring but as an account officer u re made to do deposit mobilization fixed deposit depending on the institution.
The job is not easy in the early stages but trust me if u can scale the first 6 months the sky will be ur starting point.
