Lagos is the product of one Nigeria which Yorubas are a fan of. It belongs to everyone and anyone who has invested there and live there.

As things are going now, igbos will definitely own most of it as they continue buying lands from the indigenes.

Smh. Awori(represented by the Idejo) never paid royalties. The bini descedants in Lagos did. Shes confusing her clan of people with all Awori. Admittedly bini descendants(which she is) are integrated into the Awori group but they still organised themselves differently. Awori land starts from Ado-odo in Ogun state till Lagos town(Lagos island)
The Ado-odo group is one, Ota group(or what remains of the Awori in Ota) is one, Iseri and Ikeja areas are another, the mainland and island Awori are another then the assimilated bini descendants in the island are another.

My brother its difficult for me to even reply the woman. There so many lies in her attempt to rewrite history. The Aworis have been in Lagos area before any other group of people including ijebu, bini, ondo etc came to Lagos.The woman said Lagos was an extension of Bini Kingdom ( another big lie). So if this was true, then the ijebus, ondos, ilaje and other group along the way to Lagos from bini were at one time under bini empire too, but this never happened (no historical data to supprt this). Oyo empire controlled most present Yoruba land even up to Dahomey in present day republic of Benin. The dahomey king was even paying tax to Oyo empire at one time (historical fact).

Another lie that is common is that Lagos was a military camp for bini empire ( grin grin grin). But the question is military camp for which war? war with Oyo empire or with who? The true is that bini kingdom never had military capability for such expedition.The books are there for people to read but they wont my brother.

I honestly don't know how else to make those parasites from Osun State understand this: Lagos does not belong to Yorubas.
Almost all the royalties in Lagos have spoken out concerning this, yet those lazy parasites who invaded Lagos and have sought to erode the history of Lagos with their twisted version have refused to listen.
The facts are there.
No amount of revisionism, propaganda and manipulations will make us forget the true history of Lagos - that is, Lagos doesn't belong to the Yorubas. Yorubas came just like other ethnic groups and met Lagos already owned.

What is it with the attacks on yoruba people?

How is the useless opinion of an insignificant person important to extent of dignifying it with an article publication?

The history of Lagos is well documented

* we have scholarly articles

* well researched report and,

*documented evidence that dates back to pre colonial era

Yet, a reputable newspaper like vanguard will rather publish the opinion of a nobody that supports there narrative.

The aworis are the first people in Lagos. No bini or edo man ever controlled lagos.

if bini don't own ikale and ilaje lands which is more closer to bini geographically. How can they be first to migrate to Lagos. That beats logic .

The only place the bini conquered in Lagos is the island which was reversed after the Europeans landed on the shores of Lagos.


It is very clear that this done to insight hatred between binis and Yoruba people
