The fact we don't get is that English was never the original form of the word. Translation really differs as you may translate a sentence not really corresponding to what the speaker means

Why not use your small brain for once. You're being told that while the bible was being translated from ancient languages to English, many misinterpretations were made. And the pope is only asking for the prayer to be rephrased back to its original ancient context, exactly the way Christ taught it.
